Default Need more insight on the CPI KIT - 06-03-2022, 12:20 PM

Hey guys so I finally pulled the trigger on the BMS intercooler as well as the CPI kit and will probably get it installed hopefully by the end of the month. I have a few questions revolving around the cpi kit so please chime in. My first question is if have a tank of E40-45 and choose to run a lower map setting will the JB4 automatically adjust to the fuel that's in the car? Also, does the Cpi kit work automatically, or do I have to manage it through the JB4 App. Also just want to confirm with the CPI kit I should be running it on map 7 or map 5? Sorry if these are simple questions just need more info. Thanks in advance!

The CPI kit should be used like WMI, it uses the FSB to activate the Injector. Map7 is the preferred Map UNLESS you have an ECU that already increases boost.
You can use a lower map like 1, 2, 4, ect but you're not optimizing the full potential. If you use a lower Map, the JB will not adjust the fuel. You adjust the fuel flow via Fuel Bias which applies to all Maps selected. I'm not sure if you've read Terry post on CPI but it should answer just about all your questions CPI vs WMI FAQ - JB4tech.com - International Turbo Tuning Discussion

Thanks for the insight as always definitely cleared a lot of things up for me. I should have everything installed by the end of the month, and I throw my logs up to see exactly where I stand and how things are looking!

Default E40 map 1 logs - 07-02-2022, 08:33 PM

So i finally installed both the BMS intercooler and CPI kit. I did couple of runs on map 1 with a mix of E40-42 and just wanted some feed back on how everything is looking before I go a head and turn things up on map 7 as recommended. Everything felt smooth but please let me know if you see anything out of the ordinary. As always thanks again!

Seems fine but why map1? Barely any more boost than stock. Let's see map3 or map4.

Update to the latest alpha, set min boost to around 5psi.

Awesome! I decide to run it on a conservative map just to make sure the kit was working as intended, which looks like it is. Now that I got the green light I’ll send some map 3 and 4 logs through shorty. Thanks again for the feedback!
