Default First log after installing Pure Turbo stg2 (low boost) - 06-12-2019, 08:41 PM

Hello all,

This my first log, and i am very surprised about the boost level (not more than 4-5). Car is running well, no code, but no boost really. 2008 N54 E90.

I changed turbos for Pure Stage 2, DV, inlets 2", kyttylessDP, inefortercooler, chargepipe. I have BEF hybrid for pump, i run 91, and i adjusted MAP 5 with BIAS as of Terry recommendation in thread #33200.

I did inspect visually, but before making vacuum test, and remove everything and look for leak, or vanos, or other things, i just want to make sure it's not another thing obvious that you could see.

Here's my log.

Thank you for any advice.

When i change bias and parameters in JB4, is it for all MAP or just the one selected ?
Btw, i did change the tmap sensor for a 3.5, and PCV valve.

Finally, manage to replace Coils, Spakplug and injectors.

I did 2 pulls, and the second one put me in Map4.

After, i had hard time to return home, big sound of broken thing in the car. Tomorow, i'll tow to Indy to see what happening, i suspect a turbo blow out...

Do you see something weird in logs ?

Thank you, i am little bit worried now :o\

Idle Is ok. Not rought at all. But noisy. I drove home, it was like breaking dishes. Head turning but not for good reason. Just about home I had a low oil pressure error. Close everything , put the car on towing, and ship it to Indy. I suspect maybe crank bearing or something like this. Hope I did not destroy motor. I did 3 pulls. Not a lot. It began slow tic tic, I stopped the pulls, and by the 10 miles it took to get home, it has been more and more noisy.

Finally, Blewed motor ! Kaput! Need another one.

Can't beleive it! I am surprised that N54 are that weak. I don't know what happened. As soon as we'll remove it from the car, we'll have a look.

The logs was not so bad, i don't think a 24 psi boost can blow out a motor like this. The only things, on second log, i had overboost. I respect and configure JB4 and MHD as instructions provided here, and triple check everything. Maybe at 130K miles motor was too old to support all that boost.

Heavy money again to trow in that pit.. Ho well, what else can i do with all my money anyway...

24 psi on PS2 is capable of 600whp. I would not try to even get close to those #s on 91 pump. Sorry for your loss. Update thread with damage if you dont mind.

So you think it was too much boost for pump gas ? I was 91. I took pump gas when i installed the MHD BEF. hybrid, pump.

Breaking the motor down will tell the story.
I feel overboosting that much on pump gas is not safe IMO. But, just a one time event would be real crappy luck to have a motor let go because of it. Like I said, tearing the motor down will give more insight.

Curious if your oil filter had collapsed. (low oil pressure)

My last 335xi had this issue when I bought it. The independent dealer cheaped out. A BMW dealer found it when changing solenoids at the cost of the independent dealer. All boiled down to the oil filter collapsing.
