Default Hybrid Turbos New Port Injection Logs - 06-07-2019, 09:58 PM

Hey guys! Finally got the port injection to work! Had to update the chip and firmware. Hoping to look for some help to push the car some more. Hopefully it'll be the last time I bug the forums for tuning. Getting better at tuning things myself, but with the port injection kit I wanna make sure things are dialed correctly. I was running e30 mix but was getting some timing drops in cyl 4&5 so I added 4 gallons of E. Looks better, heres 2 logs. Second log cleaned up better timing. I have terrys hybrid user adjustment settings. Where do I go from here? I'm hoping to push the car over 600 whp if I can. Thanks for the help in advance.

You mean the PI is spraying to much fuel or I used to much e85? What do I need to do to make the trims happy?

Yes, pi is spraying too much fuel. I would set FOL =0 set meth scaling to 99 and log again. Then work on fuel bias AFTER you log with changes suggested.

Whoa...

We need to significantly LOWER boost...

Trims max up top and your LPFP Looks tapped- mid 50s up top.

Umm- personally would immediately stop using map 6 or at least dial back boost a lot until we can get your settings closer to an acceptable range of normal.

If you want to continue to use map 6, try 19 or so to start & set FOL to say 60 and relog.

Personally I like working my way up through the maps vs just dialing in a 6, but thatís up to you.

Hey Dave. I dialed down the boost to 19 psi. Did a little adjustments to go boost closer. Here are 2 logs. When you looked at those last logs what are the reason behind the bad? The car running to lean?

Reasons behind bad:

1) way too much boost
2) maxed trims (out of fuel)
3) maxed hpfp / LPFP

Current logs- look much better / safer

Raise your fuel bias by 10, from 4500 RPM to redline & relog

This looks much better!

Dutybias 6.5k to redline- bump by 3

Do 2-3 WOT pulls first & log after that.

Hey Dave I realized that the port injection wasnt working the past few logs. I got it to work again after reflashing. I didnt change the DBs yet to check the log. Trims go 0?? Is that bad? Didnt do another log with adjust db cause scared to screw something up.

Dave, I turned FOL to 0 and put FB back to 50s thinking my fuel trims are crashing like my first log on this thread. Is this correct? Logs look better but trims still dip to 0. Everything else looks good though.

Trims crash to 0 aka pulling fuel- youíll want to lower fuel bias.

Any reason u dropped fol to 0

Sorry Dave. I guess I reacted to doing the same when my trims were crashing and read on a few old post that people get negative trims cause their FOL isn't set to 0. Was that the wrong thing to do?

You can leave it as is, if you want.

Lower you Fuelbias to 30 from basically 2.5k to redline & relog

Hey Dave. Had an unfortunate event. Mid pull had one of my mosfets pop along with 3 different cylinder misfires. Gonna have to take over week to get it fix cause I gotta go out of town for work. I'll keep you update when I get it fixed. Hopefully the motor is okay. Do you think PI had to play on Mosfet going? Or just a time bomb that'll eventually happen.

Ugh-

Mofsets just tend to go. Luckily those can be replaced cheaply.

Fix / will be ready when you come back

Hey dave finally got the mosfets done and had to replace injectors. Decided to restart again on the default hybrids Turbos setting. I am on e55 mix. Here are two logs. Hpfp dip and lpfp dip up top.. dont think fb can fix that. Should I lower boost or lower E content or go down maps and work up? Thanks Dave.

You need a new hpfp. I'd suggest the vvt single barrel upgrade

Isn't my port injection supposed to do what the single barrel does?

Ideally yes, but your hpfp should not be dropping below 1k psi for like that.

Your duty cycle is somewhat high, I know that's not what your posting about, but do you have matching outlets?

Hpfp is fine- no need to upgrade that- just need to bump up your fuel bias a bit towards redline...

Your LPFP looks maxed up top however..
