Default Drag radials and rear diff - 11-10-2018, 08:14 AM

Hey guys. Just wondering if anyone has had a problem with going to a bigger tire or taller tire? 6 months ago I tried a 305/35/20 instead of the stock 285/30/20 and my car started throwing a rear diff malfunction code. Now I know during that time the jb4 was having some bugs and maybe that was it and not tires but Iím not sure. Has anyone experienced this and should I be ok to run a 305/35/20 instead of 285/30/20?

It is sensing the rear wheels are turning slower than the fronts. I'd go for wider but not taller diameter tires if possible. I have 305/30/20's on my M5 and it seems fine from stock 295/30/20. Wider, but not taller by much and no codes.

305/35/20 is way too big and heavy, bro.

Drop to 305/35/19 or 305/40/18 if you're going for best times.

Way to big dude, I have aftermarket wheels and ran 305/30/20 and still a bit to much side wall so I went to 295/30/20 and it fits beautiful
