Default Map0 log for Meth - 04-05-2019, 02:01 PM

I'm looking to turn my JB4 back on as a meth controller. I ran a log on map 0. I actually made 4 logs and exported them, but only one had any data in it (I think it is 3rd & 4th gear pull). Not sure what I'm doing wrong with exports.

I have an ECU tune stage 2 tune (MG Flasher) with 91 octane and 2.5 gal of E85, otherwise stock. (I'm adding a ca ted dnpp soon).

I'd like to either be told what settings to use on existing firmware or get firmware that will not interfere with the tune. I do want to get a little additional boost and not just cooling.

Thanks

Set meth trigger mode to 1 if you want meth spraying on map 0.

Thanks. I need a little more to go on. If I set trigger mode to 1 on the User Adjustment tab, do I adjust the WMI in the WMI tab? What settings do I start with?

Terry explains how to use the JB4 as a meth controller with a flash tune in his sticky B58 BEF thread.

Grab the latest B58 firmware in the B58 BEF thread, and with fud.6 on, map1 is the flash only map. And then meth flow trigger = 1 to enable meth on all maps.

Where do I set fud.6 = on?
Do I need to use the MHD app or are we talking the JB4 Windows app?

JB4 windows app, "Future Use D". Just set it to 64 you don't need any other settings in there for now, I'd imagine. Otherwise go through the popups one by one and set Bit 6 to "yes"

Thanks for the info. Going through the bits resulted in 64, so that should be good.

When Terry said Map 1 is flash only, did he mean no Meth, or that JB4 will only be a meth controller on map 1?

I am making the assumption that if Meth Trigger Mode =1 then the settings on the WMI tab are in effect, correct?

In BEF mode, Map 0 is JB4 off, and Map 1 is JB4 on without tuning. So it means boost control, meth control, etc but nothing handled in the BEF. This is unlike Map 1 in "normal mode" (non-BEF).

So, he means: Map 1 is normally not meth, but if you set trigger mode to 1, you can have meth on map 1 and the JB4 will control it along with the other non-tune things the JB4 can control.

If you want the JB4 tune, then use maps 2-7. Terry might tell you to do this if, for example, you want to run more aggressive timing with your meth.

Perfect. Since I have a stage 2 tune, I'm trying to just use WMI for a little extra boost. I'll use Map 1, FUD=64, and Meth Trigger Mode=1.

That just leaves the WMI settings themselves.
I'm not sure what to set boost additive to in this scenario. What is a good starting place?
I have scaling at 60, and I was going to try Min Flow at 10psi.

default is 40, start there. even 30, with good timing, is a beast

edit: 40 additive not scaling. scaling at 60 is right.
