Default 2012 335is DCT - 09-15-2019, 05:59 PM

Hello, Iv been chasing an issue with my buddies 335is. At max it would bog bad and switch from map 2 to map 4. Last safety was 2(lean). LPFP was going low so we swapped in a stage 2 and looks good now. Iv been reading through terryís posts with the 335is dct. Today I flashed the INA0S PUMP flash. I got it from the zip file on here that has all the BEFís. Iím hoping it was the right/best BEF he can use. Or should I have used a MHD one? I attached a log. Can someone verify that I have all the settings correct and that the car is running good? Avg ignitions seems a tad bit high right? And if thereís a better BEF I should be using please let me know. Thanks for the help.

This looks to be the correct flash, so no worries there

What are you using for fuel? Timing in general doesn’t look great- I’m assuming just 91 or 93 oct?

Ya just 93. Could plugs or coils have anything to do with it?

I know man.... I donít get it. Itís shell 93 with octane booster..... so I just realized something. When we flashed the bef, we did flash a custom tune instead of flash a jb4 backend..... does it make a difference?

No difference. Lower boost and see if timing cleans up.

Also, do IAT look ok? Seems like they jump 30 degrees? Would this cause timing?

FMIC wouldnt hurt, but its not the root of timing corrections. Corrections are being made even at lower IATs.

Humidity, elevation, ambient temps, all play a part. Unless you have another car identical and in the same town thats running better, you cant really compare. Also, gas stations can vary from 1 location to the other. Meaning try a different brand and see if any changes in logs. Ill text you in a minute.

Add a meth kit my friend. It will help a lot.

It always does on my 335is. I have flashed it custom and it barely will boost to 15 psi. I always flash the backend now, and i have zero issues. Take the two minutes and flash it as a backend see if it helps.

It is the backend, sorry that was confusing. I meant that in mhd we selected flash a custom tune and used the jb4 backend instead of flash a jb4 backend.

Yes via MHD, for some reason it makes a difference on my 335is custom vs backend flash when i flash the jb4 BEF. I always flash the JB4 BEF using flash a backend map.
