I'd be getting the DME to see more boost and that'd likely fix both torque errors and to a lesser extent fuel trim issues.

I'm not sure if N55 has the 18.5psi boost limit that the N54 has. Assuming it doesn't, I'd be wanting to run 220 load target and N20 MAP sensor scaling in the BEF so the DME can see as much of what's happening as possible and have the JB4 accommodate that. Do you have any logs with DME boost?

I personally would be tuning the DME first without PI with JB4 disabled to the limits of the HPFP then bring JB4 and PI into the picture to add more boost and fuel then go back to the DME to get the timing right.

So I increased load request in the flash and it seems to have cleared up the 5th gear issue. However, I had that weird thing happen again yesterday where the tablet disconnects from the JB4, hazzards flash twice several times, drivetrain malfunction keeps going off and on, and it switches to Map 1. I have to pull over, shut the car down, and reset the Map through the BC button. Codes that I managed to pull were:

122108 BOV plausibility - Ignore, tuner code
102A22 MAF, air mass too high
119404 Rail pressure sensor, signal stuck

I tried setting load request to 180, but I think the JB4 suppresses that? It fixed the 5th gear issue, but I'm still not logging more than 160 load.

Okay so that's good, one thing down.

Hmm, I'm honestly not too sure about that one. After that it cleared and went away?

Looks really good man, I can imagine how fast that thing is. I got that same turbo haha

Copy this fuel bias, you're dumping so much fuel I'm surprised it's not misfiring. Your trims are pegged negative LOL.

First step was to dial in boost. Next step was to lean it out. Thanks for the values.

Ahh got it! Better safe than sorry with the fuel, I agree. Lean it out and you should definitely feel more power.

Yeah you'd need to work with BMS so that the JB4 presents higher boost to the DME.

This is awesome. I will get around to posting logs by this weekend and we can compare. Cant wait to see dyno numbers. Im hitting 19 psi at 3050 and 23 at 3300 give or take. This compares to your 3650/ 3800. I would say those looking at speedtech need to consider the 7670 vs 8374 is 500 rpm vs what I will assume is 50-75 whp at the same boost and higher max HP. Personally I think you chose right but I am not sure the 8374 would fit the e82 chassis.

I'm in the same boat, I think I might rather have the 8374 but it sounds like it doesn't quiet fit the E chassis cars without a little massaging.

FYI Jeff told me I can get it to spool even faster. Not sure I want to do that though.

@kevin
I think the e9x needs some “massaging” the e8x might be down right uncomfortable lol

Honestly though if Jeff had it at the time I would have shoehorned the 8374

I not sure changing the WGDC settings would matter when using jb4 under 4/2. Boost control, which I believe is WGDC and PID is JB4 controlled. Jeff tunes (atleast the ones ive seen) using MHD only and not jb4. Vanos effects spool and PID effect spool. The JB4 provides 100% WGDC during spool mode. I believe the jb4 disables spool mode when boost hits a variation against target (i.e. target - boost<X). The vanos, timing and fuel have there own "spool mode" as dictated by the bef. There are a few people saying they have played with vanos but I have not found anything public other than my small post, which is minimal. I dont think you need to mess with vanos until you change the manifold. Some PS2 people may want to play with it if they cant get clean boost control.

I would think 5962 should spool faster but when I look at comparisons in the N54 world this may be a bad assumption (https://www.n54tech.com/forums/showp...&postcount=616)

Makes me like these EFR turbos even more.....

Thanks for the Feedback. But im also 5500ft elevation. That also effects spool time.

good point on elevation. I would play with vanos settings and try moving that CM4 pre turbo
