The app update to resolve this issue has been online for like 3 hours now. For the next update I will add a version number, for the moment you can read the app description in the google store which states the JB4 backend 30FE was tentatively resolved.
You can also delete the app and re download it, probably as quick as checking the revision notes.

There is also some addl tuning flexibility within the software that I think will help with post shift automatic timing in our JB4 back end maps. But that said, compared to BB, it's basically a more convenient way of loading a flash map.
And how does that comparison stack up against the Cobb? Specifically for the torque load handling and shifting?

I suppose for DCT'ers this is the biggest point of concern as everything else is pretty much the same from a tuning perspective.

It's better than Cobb. Because the maps are unlocked, better supported, and it's 1/5th the price. The second MHD came out we dropped Cobb N54 support. Hopefully they add the 1M firmware soon so I can never open a Cobb N54 tuning interface again.

Other than being unlocked and cheaper, and better supported.

Are there tangible benefits from a tuning perspective? Obviously, this is coming from someone who already has a Cobb.

No it's basically the same thing from a tuning perspective. Although being unlocked means we can access tables and disable fault codes not available within Cobb.

Ok, this is what I wanted to hear.

It is a shame for the users that steady have Cobb's that you are doing this, but makes sense because Cobb lock out these tables, so is kinda their own doing.

Just a 20 amp battery charger. Not many options around here on a Sunday. I'd gladly pay extra to avoid that place usually, but I've got flash fever.

After 5 weeks of closed testing, the MHD Flasher enters now the open beta stage. The app is available on the Google Store https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...hd.flasher.n54

Here is a list of the major changes that were done since the initial announcement:
- For the Stage 1 and Stage 2 91 maps, 93oct variants available at no cost
- Linear throttle option, for a more precise throttle control over the stock pedal mapping.
- The maximum number of monitors simultaneously loggable has been increased from 19 to to 30.
- 535i support

The next weeks will see the introduction of gauges, and the support of IKMA0S (for 1M cars) and INA0S (for z4 and 335is).

The 20% discount remains active during the open beta phase.

I would like to thank the closed beta users for the useful feedback and kind words.
Martial

Little confused. If i purchase the "flasher", are all the maps available after that to be flashed as many times as I want between them all and is the $79 the discounted price? Just a little confused as to why there are separate prices for everything if they can all be bought for the flasher price.

Thanks!

Hey guys im new to this backend flash stuff and looking for some advice.
As of now I am stock with a jb4 and dci with 93 oct im planning on flashing a pump gas map tonight. Should I run jb4 pump back end or apps stage 1 93 oct?
Also from time to time I run 4 gallons of e85 so would I just run map 5 or would I have to re flash to a e85 back end?

Anyway we can access the store or purchase license without having hook up to the car? Living in a condo with separate garage means I have no access to WIFI, and android device doesn't play very nice with iOS wifi hotspot.

If your talking about the Q-Logic or flash only maps then Stage 1 is for non FBO cars and Stage 2 is strickly for FBO .

FBO is classified minimum, upgraded intake, FMIC, and *********. If you are missing one of these upraded mods then your are not FBO

Thanks for the info.

I'm FBO running 93 octane. Currently using only JB4, map 5.

What's going to give the best results for me - jb4 map 5, BMS pump flash or MHD stage 2 93?
