Arrow Stand Alone Halo switch help - 06-13-2013, 06:33 AM

I have a 2007 335i the halos come on with headlights or turn signal modes only, im trying to figure out how i can set my halos to a seperate switch that way i can run them as a stand alone system and able to turn them on or off whenever i want. Does anyone have any direction on how to do this, or maybe a DIY out there. Thanks Gentlemen

Check out http://www.distantxtremes.com/daeos-...y-harness.html

Usually I think this stuff is overpriced but for $40 I might buy it myself and use it with the LED bulbs Terry offers for the pre-LCI angel eyes.

Oh, if you do install this, make sure you use electrical tape over the tap connections, especially the ones outside of the DME enclosure. This will keep splashing water/salt off of the electrical connections.

If you really want a switch, install one in the red wire that connects the harness to power inside of the DME enclosure. Personally I would just leave them on all of the time.

Code out your marker lights....still work as turn signals.

Car is torn apart and battery is disconnected right now...I'll take a pic later.

Sorry, I missed your post...

Can't comment on E90post although I'm sure its there. It would also be on www.bmwcoding.com with all the instructions you'll need to get started.

But to answer your question.."coding them out" is connecting to the cars ECU and changing the line of "code" for that particular item from "activ" to "nicht activ" if memory serves me right.

I can get the exact terms and proper ECU, but you're going to have to set things up properly in order to be able to "talk" to the ECU to begin with and that website will help you do that.
