Terry, any advice? See above post with .csv files and virtual dyno readings. I'm thinking NGK 95770 spark plugs and attempting to gap them to .020 or .022, due to rough idle at times and 50k miles on the oem ones. Thoughts?

Terry, I have the MHD and JB4 BEF and I read something about leaving the OEM/Catted pipe box empty/unchecked should suppress the engine light but mine is still illuminated. Am I doing something wrong?

Also if I go meth with 50/50 can I flash the Race BEF file and run map 3?

Default MHD - 10-13-2018, 05:09 PM

I finally pulled the trigger and installed MHD and installed BEF pwg3.
I did a short pull that I have attached. Could someone tell me if this is running the way it should or if I need to make any adjustments. Thanks.

I still get the CEL for ********* but only if I'm cruising at a set speed for a period of time. I use the race flash and run meth but I also run e30/e40. Don't think you'll be running meth all the time so might want to stay on pump flash. Can always log and see if it's beneficial to do so

Just want to say, since yesterday that I installed it and today, full day at the track, I have thrown no drivetrain malfunction codes that I was constantly getting before.

My best run at the track was 12.663 at @ 109.63 this is the best since last year for me.

I am attaching 4 of my runs, perhaps Terry you can let me know if I am running correctly or if I need to adjust anything.

Appreciate your assistance

Logs look OK overall.

I'd shift around 5500rpm for maximum performance on the stock N55 turbo.

Also change open loop to 0 to get trims up.

You'll have to shift manually at 5500. I have my shift indicator in the app set to that. PWG problems

Any advice? I'm almost a page up with logs and virtual dyno. I tend to hit a CEL or a Drivetrain Malf. more often now, possibly due to LPFP? I run E30 consistently these days. Attached is a photo of the most recent CEL on E30, Map 7, BEF EWG_RACE_7e. It happens on Map5 at times as well

Terry, I am having trouble installing the BEF. Here's what I've done so far:
-Backup stock map
-Flash MHD Map 0
-Turn FutureUseD #6 "on"
-Downloaded 8/2/18 maps from this thread

The problem is that BEF maps PWG1, PWG2, and PWG3 do not appear. It seems this is because the files are in .xdf format, because all of the maps formatted in .bin show up. What do I need to do?

Of the attached photos, one shows the folder of maps saved on my android device, another shows the maps available to flash via MHD app.

You copy the BIN you want to look to the root directory of your device and then select in MHD app to flash. XDFs should not be copied over they are not flash maps.

So how can I flash PWG1 PWG2 or PWG3? Those are the maps that apply to me. I only have a **, CP, and JB4 on map 5 with ~ E30 on every other fill-up.

Please excuse my ignorance, Iím brand new to all this.

While in MHD, you navigate to the folder where you extracted the files. Is that what you're asking?

Not really. I am asking how to flash PWG1/PWG2/PWG3 maps. Terry said that XDF files are not for flashing. BUT, PWG1/PWG2/PWG3 maps are only offered in XDF format...

This photo shows the folder (open in MHD app) with all the extracted files. PWG1/PWG2/PWG3 do not show up. Am I missing something? I thought those were the BEF maps us PWG guys are supposed to run without e40+/meth/turbo upgrades.

Can I download PWG1/PWG2/PWG3 maps in .bin format? If so, where?

Should i be running a different back end map? None of the others seem to apply to my setup.

These are not maps but definitions for tuner program "TunerPro". PWG maps are JB4_F_PWGx_xxx_x.bin

So then which do I use? Terry said specifically:

"There are several F series models that each require a unique map. To differentiate them we've labeled each file:

EWG: 2014+ EWG models (except M2 and S55 models)
S55: 2015+ M3/M4 models
PWG1: For the PWG models I'm not sure yet which cars need which one, but MHD won't let you load the wrong one. Most cars seem to be PWG2.
PWG2:
PWG3:
M2: They have their own dedicated map set"

To me, that sounds like "run PWG1, PWG2, or PWG3". Without those options, I'm left with "JB4_F_PWGx_E85_x" and "JB4_F_PWGx_RACE_x"

I am not running race gas, and I only run 30% E85 or less mixed with pump gas. I do not see any pump gas options for PWG.
