Not yet but we're also weighing some changes there also.

I can't speak for MHD but the JB4 module provides all that and more already. So i assume if you're already here you have the JB4.

Looks solid to me. Any issues? Maybe raising auto shift reduction to say 30 would get boost down a touch more post shifts as EGT builds.

Default JB4_F_EWG_16_TEST5 & PUMP BEF - 09-08-2018, 11:56 PM

Hey Terry,

Updated to Firmware 16 and pulled a log for you on Map 2 (2018-09-09) - I'm also running the EWG PUMP BEF.

Prior to this I had ran JB4 only on Map 2 and Payam confirmed it was all good (2018-08-27).

Initially, I had flashed the EWG RACE BEF because I had thought it was for 93 and / OR 93 and e85 mixtures. No logs from this, I did some more reading and then flashed it down to PUMP to be safe.

Notced a couple of things:
- AVG IGN dropped from 5.9 to 3.3 (I'm guessing because I flashed RACE first), is this normal?
- As you noted, the BEF did change the targets from the additive to absolute. What should the targets be for Map 2?
- I reset my FF to 60, it's gone up to 95 - what does this mean?
- Got 102A22 MAF, air mass too high, again. I get this once in a while, easy enough to clean the maf and clear the code.

'15 M235i 6MT - Shell 93 oct
- K&N Drop-In
- VRSF Charge Pipe
- Fabspeed Sport c@t
- M2 OEM Spark Plugs stock gap- changed out from stock chasing down a misfire, none since.

Let me know if you need anything else on my end.

Thanks in advance! Appreciate the support!

Is there something I'm missing here? When I change bit6 it changes Future Use D to 64. Is that different from FUD?

Thanks!

Hey Terry,

I'm starting to think it could be an LG specific issue?

I double checked the FUD from the log using my iPhone 7 and it'll show up as 64 vs. the 6 I'm getting when I pull a log from my LG G3. The G3 is an old phone I pulled out just for JB4 gauges, logs, MHD, etc.

I updated EWG 16 TEST 5 from my iPhone just to make sure, and confirmed bit 6 was on in both apps.

Any details on the updated boost targets (since they are now absolute) for all maps after BEF?

Thanks

Depends on the JB4 firmware. N55 EWG? S55?

Also interested in the answer for this - N55 EWG.

and according to...

...does the BEF change Map 2 from 'additive' to 'absolute'?

I can see in my Map 2 logs the targets have changed from the < 6 psi to > 10 psi - does this mean the EWG harness becomes more of a necessity as it is for those running say Map 5 + JB4 only?

Hello!

Please could somebody say, why I'm still getting the CEL?
I run with c.less d. pipe and the only code in DME ise about catalytic converter.
With the latest ISO FW update I disabled passive delete, should I enable it?
With the latest PWG1_RACE_3 no moore low boost error - that is good!

JB4_F_EWG_16_TEST5:

1) Revised logic for absolute boost targeting maps resulting in smoother part throttle operation and the ability to set boost by gear values lower than the flash target.
2) Adjusted map4 to a low boost / VALET / safety map with a target of 8psi.
Curious, is Map 3 considered an absolute boost target map with the BEF and FUD 64?

Yes the WMI progressive map is absolute target and transitions between a low and high boost profile based on the meth additive setting and WMI flow.

Tuning looks good.. But, fuel pressure is a bit of a concern. We may have to lean it out if you can't get more meth volume. What nozzles?

Aquamist HFS-4 ( 1.2mm + 1.0mm ) total flow rate ~1270 cc/min

it's not tuned, ur BEF RACE only, and disabled Auto FF learn set it to 100, so boost not go over target after many WOT pulls .
