Default Question regarding Menu 11 longevity. - 03-26-2017, 07:35 AM

Just a quick question. Currently have my car set to 1500 on menu 11 for the pedal-boost sensitivity. I've played around with higher settings [2500,3000, etc] just to test the waters, and while I liked the earlier boost onset [which helped considerably when I go 100% pedal @ 2800-3000 rpm], I noticed the boost was considerably higher while cruising [5-8psi @ light pedal activity] while cruising and the constant turbo noise.

As far as longevity is concerned, is it relatively safe to run my setup around 3000 for menu 11, despite the insanity that is the turbo noise and the 5-8psi at relatively light pedal cruising? You think there's an exponential increase in decreased turbo life when having menu 11 set higher?

Thanks Cheers

Seems a bit high for cruising.

It's obviously going to be more stress on the turbo over time...pre-mature failure though because of it? Not really sure, it's very light load. TMAP settings are correct?

Hey Steve, appreciate the response.

I'm thinking that I'll just keep it set around 1500 for boost-pedal. And regarding the boost while cruising - that 5-8psi is @ about 30-35% pedal - that's what I meant, sorry if I was unclear.

I'm not sure if I know what you mean regarding the TMAP settings? I know of the 'N20 TMAP (0/1)' under the JB4 settings screen which is switched to 0, but other than that I'm not aware of any other settings, unless I'm missing something?

Thanks brother

If the TMAP setting was incorrect, you can get artificially high boost readings...that's why I was asking about the TMAP setting.
