You're at a gas station, right? Do they have a battery charger?

I need a little guidance guys.

I flash the latest JB4_MHD_INA0S_PUMP to a Z4 35i.

After the write I keep getting a 2FA4 Wrong data set error and the cars engine light remains on.

Anybody had this issue before?

With my ** and PE, I get some burbs already so 2 sec and medium, works well for me. I tried high first, but with the top down it's too much.

I'm sitting here at a gas station attempting to flash back to the MHD ijeos pump map since I will only have access to 91 octane on this road trip. The problem is that MHD is only giving me the option of what it calls a "long write" of 9-20 minutes and I'm afraid it will kill the battery.

Previously flashing between different backend maps only took 2 mins, but I no longer have that button on screen, just the 'long write 9-20 minutes' and 'options' buttons. Any thoughts? Luckily I have enough in the tank to make it home on the ethanol backend...

The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago while I was filling up with ethanol. I did the long write at the gas pump and the battery held up. Not a pleasant experience in the heat.

With the new exhaust burble mode, aggressiveness set at high sounds too insane with my performance exhaust and *********. Especially with my top down.

You around 15 psi below a normal curve, so there's definitely a leak.

As a daily fuel I was thinking 100% e85 and about 23 psi with MHD e85-flash. Possible? At the moment I am running about 22psi with e60 blend.

The BMS maps are organized this way
- IJE0S for non IS cars
- INA0S for IS cars.

So the INA0S (which is to be precise a INA0S IS map) will throw a 2FA4 is flashed on a non IS car. Use the IJE0S versions.

Default MHD 1.36 and 1.37 updates - 06-17-2016, 02:37 PM

Here's the cumulative changelog for the last 2 versions:

- Exhaust burble with flash time settings (duration, aggressiveness).
- Prepended the last second of data when logging is started
- Monitor options (log channels) and the licenses store can now be used without a connection to the car (the last known VIN is used).
- Error codes: added several missing codes + German translation for all code descriptions.
- What's new menu (top right of the main screen).

No need to say the first point is far more discussed online, being a love - hate feature. I'd recommend to start with 2s and soft aggressiveness and evaluate from there, as the effects are very dependent on the exhaust mods.

And now for some results, respectively medium and hard setting on stock exhaust + ***:

When I turn on the cold start noise reduction option the car hesitates/coughs/sputters a bit on cold start and I feel the car rocking a bit at idle.

I reflashed with the cold start noise reduction option off and it starts fine no cough and idles smoothly.

Any idea why this happens? Is it a symptom of a underlying issue with my car?
There were no codes thrown.

Same thing for me, sounded like a ghost cam tune. I mean it's kind of obvious that ALL cars go into cold start for a reason and forcing it to not go into cold start could and does act a little off.. Just live with the cold starts imo

Thanks for the response, I don't mind the cold starts at all just thought I'd test out the MHD features.
Good to know I'm not the only one to have this issue though.

Within the TunerPro you can edit the cold start duration (stock is 65s iirc). MHD could add a slider like the min rpm?. Primarily cold start is to get the cats up to temp for emissions purposes but I'd read it also clean the plugs etc. Certainly a leaking injector fouling a plug could show up with cold start off I suppose.

If it is a leaky injector MHD may have created an easy way to diagnose leaky injectors.
But we won't know for sure until someone tests it.

There'll be lots of reasons for a rough idle on cold start, like VANOS & cam bearing ledge issues, plugs & coils.

Is this option available for JB4 flashes too?
