Default JB4 2019 Jeep JLU 2.0T (Collision Warning/Service Shifter) - 05-28-2021, 07:54 AM

I installed the JB4 the other week. Randomly, the Jeep will malfunctioning, throwing on services lights & then "Service Shifter" & the collision warning will start coming on. The Jeep malfunctions until turned off, then it is fine once started back up with no issues. This has happened twice thus far. Once the second time I drove it the day that I did the install (about 2-3 weeks ago) & then again today. Other than that, I have it on Map 2 & it runs great. I have checked all connections & they are tight. I updated firmware when I installed it as well. It never did this before & has about 20,000 miles on it currently. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I haven't heard of this being an issue and don't know how or why the JB4 would cause that.

The only thing I can suggest is disconnecting the OBDII cable for a while (you won't be able to log during that time) and see if it still occurs. Could be a bad OBDII cable if so.

Do I even need the obd2 cable in if I don't plan on logging it. I put it on Map 2 & just want to forget about it essentially. I bought the Jeep for my gf, she drives it around, just wanted to give it more umph really. I have no intention on tweaking it.

Can I remove the OBD2 cable completely?

Yes, that should be fine based on what you'd like to do.
