Installed my Jb4 today along with bluetooth com - only hard part was getting the odb cable through the firewall gromet but otherwise good to go.

Side note my bluetooth dongle had the serial cable along with a blue cable instead of red like all the install pictures. I was worried about connecting it to a hot in case something changed but ended up just doing it anyways and all seems good.

Running map0 till my parts come but wanted to get it installed so there weren't too many changes at all once

EDIT: If I'm running FBO + Meth with a 60/40 mix (E40) on the stock turb.

2013 PWG F30, can I upgrade to the ISO firmware(after cutting the diode) or it wouldn't really help me without a turbo upgrade?

Default User adjustment settings - 05-23-2017, 01:08 PM

Hi, all,

Currently running map 2 - FBO F30 335i (PWG)

After looking at my User adjustment settings today I noticed the FF/Wastegate Adaption was up to 146 and I had Max boost 2nd at 0.8. Now, I did not consciously make these changes, and want to know if I should change these to the default settings posted on page 1 of this thread? Can these setting change on their own via map 2?

Ff will move around according to conditions. Gears 1-3 max boost should be set to 0 til you learn how to use them for your liking.

To start off I'm kind of new to the whole JB4 and how tunes work since it's my first turbo car. I was able to install the JB4 and I bought the app and the Bluetooth connect kit to make things easier so I don't need a laptop for any reason.

My question is that I have a 2011 535i. So I first updated the firmware to the fseries PWG 8b hex file straight from my app on my phone to the JB4. now I don't have much mods other than a intake, a msport exhaust and soon a chargepipe. What is the best map I can use to gain the optimal performance with the car? I'm also scared to do a couple (2-3) gallons of e85 and then the rest of 92 or 93 octane. Is that pretty safe for the car?

I haven't messed with the app too much because there's a lot of stuff that I have no idea what it does so right now I'm just on Map 1 and I do feel some gains in comparison to before install JB4. Another forum member said map 5 on one of the files has a tune that Terry from JB4 made. Any idea about this?

Sorry for all the questions! Thanks for all your help!!!

Thanks again
Sagar Shah

You'll need to get a down pipe to get more out of the JB4

Based on the fact that my FF had worked its way up to 146 from the default setting of 60. Is this bad/good/neutral? I reset it a few days ago and its back to 79.

Default jb4 EGW Bluetooth code - 06-01-2017, 05:27 PM

Hi
I got an image code at Bluetooth.
Is it OK to delete this? Is it also a malfunction?

Please let me know the answer.

Hi T
BMW X4 M40i built end of 2016 (which is - despite the name - an N55 from the M2) doesn't seem to have working dash control. Dash looks the same as on X3.

Same happened with a BMW M6 (built mid 2015).
Any idea?

If we change settings in JB4 it starts flashing the turning signals 2x in a row. But can't go into Dash Control.

I've disabled dash control completely, rather control it via Bluetooth kit if when only needed.

Yes it's a work in progress for the new dash layout. Use JB4 mobile for now.

Man what a great company & product. I ordered my JB4 +BT and got it 2 days later from CA to FL!

I followed the directions and hooked it all up. THe hardest part was removing the covering for the battery in the trunk around the convertible clock work.

I turned the car on, connected blue tooth and it worked like a charm! I threw it on map 5 auto learning and did some long pulls on a back road. It was a monster.

OMW home i hit one more pull and blew my charge pipe! LOL.

I'm beyond excited. My 435 feels great. Now just waiting form my VRSF CP to come hopefully early next week.

Thanks Burger - you guys delivered for sure.

If you just want more power you throw it into map 1 or autotuning (map 5).

The trick to get the battery cover off on the F33 convertibles is to open the top until the trunk folds back and then take your finger off the button just before it starts to fold back forward. Leave it in that state and now you have easy access to that battery cover. After you get the cover off, then close the top and then disconnect the battery from inside the trunk.

It's a 2014 36k miles. With the M-sport package. Traded in my 328i. I love the platform of the 435i.

I have the BMS intake, VRSF CP & carbon fiber rear lip spoiler on order and a few other bits. I've been lurking these forums for awhile learning about it. I installed the grill today when i did the JB4. Sad it has to sit in the garage all weekend now though.

Once i fix my charge pipe ill simmer on it like this for awhile. Maybe add some more carbon bits. Front lip & rear diffuser would be nice. Maybe throw in the DP finally in a few months once i'm used to the new power, but as it stands now it already feels too fast for me already lol.
