Default [solved]Why B58 block at 3.500rpm on Dyno? - 09-02-2018, 03:21 AM

I have DISCOVERED how to unlock debug mode and i have recorded a tutorial to show you. I hope you enjoy and tells horsepower on dyno!

BMW 5 series G30/31 DYNO MODE TUTORIA

You have to do with the engine OFF:
1: PUSH 3 TIMES START BUTTON.
2: HOLD PUSH TRIP BUTTON UNTIL YO ENTER IN THE MENU.
3: PUSH TRIP TO GO DOWN ON THE MENU UNTIL THE OPTION "CHASSIS DYNO".

Hi mates!
Yesterday i went to Dyno to test the JB4 540i B58 BMS Intake, VRSF *****, M Exhaust.

98 octane, Map 3, Sport PLUS, DTC OFF and... pulls to 3.500 and BLOCK there. No increase it to the end.

What I have to do to run on Dyno? Are there Dyno MODE hidden on system?
I am lost on this.

I need help with this.

Thank you!

PD: Images of fail launch.

You need EWG cable I believe.

Due to the downp!pe the wastegate can’t control the boost climb specially in map 3 which will add 6 psi.

You probabily hitting 18+ psi now.

Best wishes

I did run my car on map3 with 98 octane but when payam check my logs, he advise me to switch to map 2.

Not acting to know but this what he advised me to.

Once my vrsf downp!pe arrives I will try map6 with 16 psi flat. I already have EWG wire.

Take logs and let the BMS check for you.

Do you think its necesary EWG wire to unlock the car?
One famous tuner said me try to delete codes running in the dyno. Another tells me must be a hidden mode to allow dyno launch. Anyone knows? Thank you madking.

I'm pretty sure on newer BMW you need to activate the roller test option to be able to dyno the car.

Not sure if its the same on a 5 series but on my 2 series you need to have the ignition on (engine off) press the trip meter button and then hold for another about 15 seconds. Normally if I recall it's option 3 and should say Start Roller or something in german like Rollenbetrieb.

Once again not sure how you access the ''secret menu'' on 5 series might be different.

Edit : If it ask for an unlock passcode (which I dont think it does for that) just add up the last 6 digits of your VIN to get the number to unlock.
