Hello!

I'm from Brazil and I have a 320i 2016 and and a few days ago I notice that the JB4 switching to map 4 by itself.

The master chip is new, I bought it on March 4th this year (ORDER BMS196425) because the original master chip has problem when I tried to make a firmware update.

Here in Brazil we have a mixture of ethanol and gasoline (93 RON) available.

I made a log e and took some screenshots of JB4 Mobile.

Could you please help me to fix this problem?

I see that....try updating your firmware to V8 to see if that resolves your issue.

Also, do you have the EWG wires connected?

I checked that version 8 is beta, is that right? (I attached a screenshot of the phone to make sure I located the correct file)

As for the cables, follow the photos of the installation and also of the location of the solenoid.

I just didn't take a picture of the ODBII connection.

Apparently the problem of swicthing maps by itself was solved, but I don't feel the car as strong as when I used the firmware in version 3. Follow the log, could you please check?

I followed the manual for this link (https://www.n54tech.com/instructions/JB_n20_install.pdf) and understood that my car has EWG, in which case the blue cable is disconnected.

Following is a photo of the car and also a screnshot of the Installation Guide.

Please, can you check if I did it correctly?

Could you please advise me if I made a mistake in the installation, because my understanding is that my car has EWG and PWG, and so there is no JB4 cable connected to the WG.

That looks to me like the stock EWG cable is still connected.

Sorry, I don't understand, which JB4 cable should I connect to the EWG? Isn't the Blue Cable used only for PWG?

Yes, those are the EWG wires. You can only install them one way.

Follows JB4's data log and the screenshots of the app containing the current settings.

I saw in the topic (N54Tech.com - International Turbo Racing Discussion - View Single Post - F Chassis N55 JB4) that some parameters should be changed (Default settings are duty bias to 50 across the board, FF to 50, PID gain to 20, and shift reduction 60.)

I would like to know if these settings apply to my car (BMW320i 2016) and if the parameters are those that are in the orange box in the first screen print.

If not applicable, is there anything you need to adjust in the parameters?

For proper review and the JB4 to adapt, please do logs in 3rd or 4th gear from 2K rpms to redline at wide open throttle.

You have some minor but repeated timing corrections up top so more octane would help.

You are also underboosting a bit...I'd recommend raising your FF to 80 and we'll see how that looks.

Timing looks good, FF was a bit more sensitive than I expected. Try dropping that to 70 and lets see if that get boost closer to target.

Do you have any codes present? Something odd going on but I'm wondering if you have a DTM?
