Cyril, thanks for giving me a ride in your JB3 powered 335xi. I'm gonna end up picking one up thanks to you. Nice metting all of you guys (Matt and Tim). I had a real good time. Sorry I was late. I just went straight from Raplh Schomp. While i was waiting, I test drove a new 2009 BMW M3 covertible. Funny that you and Tim did that Cyril because when you and Matt went out, I was telling Tim that i was just doing that same thing. I think it sounds awesome but I still like the get-up-and-go in the 335. Ralph Schomp would only let you go 2 miles with an M3 and your not suppose to go past 5k rpm's but that changed when I was on the highway. I also tried the new M-drive. We might have to meet up again sometime when the weather gets nice and take a nice drive. Hope to see you all again.

You are welcome Vincent. No problem being late. Matt, Tim, and I were chatting 335 stuff anyways. I'm glad you are going JB3! Nice wheels on the drop by the way! Looks clean!

Matt, I meant to say earlier in my last post, "Matt, you have ME anxious to clean my engine and make it look at least half as good as yours." I definitely had the M3 well above 5k rpm! My salesman is pretty cool and just through me the keys. I love the 135i though. Getting that back end loose in the corners is very fun but yet very controllable Kind of feels like a go-kart.

Thank you for the compliment. Let's see how yours look when you have your winter wheels off. We might have to hit up the slopes one day. I see you like Ride? I just got the new Ride Concept UL and haven't been able to try it yet even though i went up twice this year so far.

Yeah, I love Ride. I have a 2009 Ride Society for everything and a 2009 Ride Kink strictly for the park. That Concept is a sweet sweet board. I almost bought one this season. You are more than welcome to ride with us. We go to Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Breckenridge and A-Basin. Didn't go this weekend from being sick but I have gone up about 25 times this season so far.

I'm from Colorado Springs, CO. I'm in Iraq right now but am due to come home in about 2 weeks. I ordered a JB3, and a BMS DCI. Can't wait to try them out!

Hi all,
Just picked up an '11 335i X from good 'ol Meddie Moe at Murray, - he was fantastic and hooked me up with a great deal. Turned in a leased '07 Infiniti G35x for the Bimmer...so a true and funny story: when I first got my G35, I raced a 335 coupe. Off the line, I leaped ahead of him, but then past second gear he left me in the dust...LOL, even though I only had the G35 for about 2 months then, I made up my mind right then and there that the next car I got for Colorado (at 1 mile above sea level) was going to be a turbo charged BMW!!! So here I am...

I leased my car but am just researching the whole tune scene - looking at JB or Vishnu at this point. I live in Superior, CO and would be interested in the next local get together...love the car so far, but am always looking for more power (the wifey just doesn't understand...)
See ya on the boards or the streets!

Funny a lot of people at this altitude seem to get rid of their Infiniti G's for 335's haha. Ditto. Had an Infiniti G37x for a short while, missed having a manual and yearned for more power... fast forward, my Infiniti is gone and have a N54 335xi 6MT in it's place.

Hello fellow bimmer CO owners.

Guess I'm the new kid on the block. I just picked up my 08 335xi to replace my 2010 3.8 hyundai genesis coupe... Boy... 335xi is easier to say :-)

I'm in the Denver area - already have a JB3 and lovin' it. MANY plans for the future and I'll undoubtedly have many questions moving forward. This is my first BMW and lovin' it so far.

I know it kind of odd to ask - but I'm going to do it anyway... What are some other good BMW sites that I can hit up for some good tune information? Do any of you guys track at HPR?

I should be heading up to HPR this summer, but not in my 335xi (I try not to track my daily driver these days haha!), I should be out there in my Miata

Default Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but... - 01-28-2012, 11:18 PM

...just picked up an 08 335xi today in Boulder and I'm pretty psyched. I'd been looking for about a year nationwide for a white one with a black interior and manual transmission and all the packages. Almost pulled the trigger on a couple of silver ones over the last year. White one fell into my lap just down the street today.

I'm a former Mitsubishi guy that ran 12.6 at Bandi with an old 91 GVR4.

One more 335xi here. It doesn't seem that there are too many of us on this forum from CO. I am in Parker.

Thanks for the reply. If there's a thread or webpage where you've documented or discussed the improvements you got on the mods you listed I'd appreciate a pointer.

Not really. The best thing I've done to the car itself is the KW V1 coilovers and getting rid of the runflats. Lowered it a little over an inch. Put 245/35/18's on the front and 275/30/18's on the rear.
Besides the JB4 and DCI, meth made a big difference. Did the c-less ********* and FMIC at the same time, that made a significant difference as well.
I had someone code the car to change many features on the car. Swapped DTRL's to be angel eyes instead of the high beams. I have the BMS LED's for the AEyes. He did about 10 changes for me. Best thing was he did it for free!

Thanks, I've wondered about alternate tire sizes. I read that the rear wheels are 8.5" wide. I'm surprised by that because to me they look about 10" wide. I would have expected the 255s to stick out more from the rim at only 8.5".

I don't know for sure how far I'll go with it...probably quite a ways if a good fuel system solution becomes available. I could see going to a big single on an N55 manifold. I'm sure I'll do at least a JB4 or Procede and air filters and maybe an IC.

JB4 all the way! If anything, for the support from Terry. Great product!

Another in the Springs here. Diving an '11 335i Xdrive. So far all I have is the JB4 tune, a drop in K&N filter, and some upgraded brake pads and rotors.

Looking to install ******* **'s next and get rid of the stock charge pipe since I hear they have a tendency to break under higher boost. Still not sure on dropping the ride height since I do bring it out in the snow from time to time. Some of those less groomed side roads scare me thinking what would happen to my front end if I drop it any...Anyone else run into any issues here?

Denver area? Anyone interested in helping me install my JB4? Pizza and beer included, of course ;^)

I can't help anybody because I haven't done it myself...I ended up going with a Cobb at least for now. I'd love to watch somebody do it, though.

I haven't installed the JB4 for the n54 engine (just my N55) but the install looks pretty straight forward. Looks the same as mine, minus the ECU connections. If you happen to head down to the Springs I'll help you get it installed

Thanks, Platformer. She's an '07 N54. Andrew at AR Designs here in Denver did the work for me on Saturday, including the DCI. Not a trivial job by any means, but he can do them with one arm tied behind his back!
