Default mmp port injection - 02-20-2017, 03:10 PM

just a heads up to anybody going with the new mmp port injection, buy your own clamps for the fuel line because the ones he gives you in the kit are complete garbage. i've had both ends of the line pop off already and had it piss fuel all over the place. do it right the first time and buy your own hardware. i don't know what this guy was thinking supplying such crappy hardware in his kit.

it wasn't too bad just had to make sure i didn't lose any of those cheap little rubber band gaskets that he gives in the kit, they slip off very easily. also make sure to bend the bracket out of the way on the hard line for clearance.

Wow.. sounds like a poor design.. with safely in mind, the fuel system is not an area to skimp on..

It does undercut alot of the competition, so I suppose budget cuts needed to be made somewhere.

using those clamps provided in his kit is just as useful as not using any clamps at all.

no but i'm sure i'm not the only one dealing with this, this will literally happen to everyone who installs this kit. much like the melting of his silicone outlets that he blames on installation. (i had to zip tie mine out of the way.)

this and the gaskets are like little rubber bands. they're easy to lose since they don't really seat in place that well and also if you ever had to replace them there's nowhere to get them.

Ahh I see. Well you should still bring his attention to this so he can help adress this issue for future models. Maybe he can even send you a few new revised clips.

it's alright man i'd rather spend the dollar or so at the hardware store and get my own rather than waiting for them to come in the mail. i'm sure somebody has told him by now that those clamps are weak as hell because i'm not the only one who ordered this thing. that just goes to show how much effort he put into testing this kit out before putting it up for sale. this is just a warning to anybody else who has bought or will be buying the kit.

When I tested they didn't have issue but one report of this is enough for me. I just sent notice to everyone I have shipped a kit to throw away the clamps or stop using them and they can either source bolt clamps locally at autoparts store and I can send a refund for the cost or I can ship them bolt clamps. Thanks for letting me know this to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. Going forward this change has been made. If you didn't receive the email from me, just drop me a line at sales@mmp-e.com and I will take care of the issue with you via email.

Good response man, props for handling this situation instead of just ditching the customers.
