Default FBO+JB4 Map2 first logs Help 13 f30 n55 pwg - 01-31-2017, 08:18 AM

Good Morning guys,
I did the first runs and some logs. I'm kind off understanding the numbers but can someone tell me which one are the important to keep an eye on them? Which one is the Intercooler temp?

I just been in map 2 for now and here are 2 logs. First one from yesterday after install and the second one today.

Yesterday I said, damn this map2 really moves in a 3rd gear test. BUT when I looked the log, I saw something wrong on that pull. If you look it over boosted to 17.3psi when max is 14psi and around 3500rpm. It haven't done it again after a few pull, I guess was the adaptation?
Thats why i felt too fast for map2.
Now the other ones are between 10-13psi, is it good? I dont feel too much different from stock as I was getting a max 12.9psi with mppk+intake+mpe from torque app, not sure how accurate it was.
Either way, are these psi boost right from target? Thanks

Set FF to 80 and do a couple more logs.

Ok, just a quick question, where is the ff option? I'm using the BT rev3 and I couldn't find it on settings.

Also, I went to install the Jb4 Mobile app on another old android htc phone I have spare and it says "Start com not available" How many device can the app be used?

Logs should be taken in 3rd or 4th gear from 2k to redline at WOT.

The second log is from 3rd @3000rpm. So it needs to be from 2000rpm exactly? to redline excally also or 6000rpm will be enough?

Second log is from 3500 rpms to 5900 rpms...too short.

For support, follow the instructions for logging...

http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showpo...21&postcount=1

"For datalogging you'll connect and start logging. Then do some wide open throttle runs, like 40-100mph on a safe private track, and 2000-7000rpm in 3rd gear, and finally export to CSV. Post those CSV files to the n54tech support forum with a listing of your mods and fuel if you need technical tuning assistance."

Got it, will get you some like that. Does it matter if I add e30

Definately add some e85, especially if you plan on running ethanol regularly--will give you a more accurate look at how your car runs with the fuel your planning on running. And the increase in octane usually helps the tune run better.

Hey man,
Can you send me the link of any logs in map2 and map5 with and without e85 if you have them around. To compare them with mine. Thanks

I'd recommend map 1 on that fuel, set FF to 100, and FOL to 70.

I thought 93 is recommendable for map2. Eitherway, I will put e30 today and relog. You want me to set FF to 100 and FOL to 70 even with e30?

Hi Steve & Terry,
Here are some logs with 93+e30 and FF to 100-80, FOL to 70-50.

Still getting 11psi from 14psi target around the 4k rpm. Is is boost leak?

Dude, you scared me, I was driving when I saw an email from your replay saying that and I changed from map2 to 0 right away.

Base on which numbers you though that? AFR, FF, FP_L or FP_H.

Well you need to do your logs just in 3rd gear unless its a log from the drag strip or dyno. I believe terry and steve look at hpfp, lpfp, and trims together to see whats going on. Whats interesting is that your avg ign is staying at 3.9 even with a bigger ic and e30. So i think you should try a log in map 5 once you let it learn.

I have been trying to get map2 right to jump on map5 and 7 with e40, but don't know why between 3500rpm to 5krpm boost is alway 2 or 3 psi under target and from 2krpm to 3500rpm is always like 1psi over target or even.
So I'm trying to find if is a boost leak or no, to get under the car this weekend and check CP + IC connections.

Im pretty sure map 2 is 6 psi over what the ecu is commanding. You have that and slightly more sometimes. Map 5 is autotune so you have nothing to worry about. Your pwm isnt crazy so i doubt you have a boost leak.
