Default M235i '15 N55 **,CP,MPE,JB4 - 10-30-2016, 03:38 AM

Hi Guys,

I have installed a **,CP,MPE & JB4 with FF,EWG,TMAP,MAP and i am running RON102 fuel. The car has u huge increase in performance in map2/map5 but max boost is around 14/15psi. I'm now looking into custom tuning with map6 to increase boost a little but i have trouble setting the right parameters and i do not know what boost is still safe.

Is there someone that can help me get some proper parameters for my setup so I can get a good starting point for my current configuration.

Attached four WOT logs, the 3rd WOT log is from 4th gear, the rest from 3th gear. I am currently on map 5 and i believe the car has breath for more performance

With a high I avg. boost won't increase. Timing doesn't look too bad so you could try another psi or so and see how it looks.

Can you explain a little bit more what you mean with "with a I avg. Boost won't increase", i know it is ignition average but i don't get this sentence.. And what i should change for "try another psi or so"? Can i still use map 5 for this or sould i run map 6 and add boost values? I'm sorry for the questions but i have trouble understanding, i have read a lot of things on the forum already so not everything is abacadabra...

Yes I understand now, but why is the throttle so jumpy? I don't understand this.

Anything i can do about the stock flash on f22 m235i? I have read about backend flash but this is only for n54? It would also be nice if the cold start could be disabled, what a sound 😂

Please have a look at attached logfile, i noticed my car underpowered sometimes at higher gear/rpm. It does not do this always but now I managed to log it. Please have a look... Only difference is that I have added the BMS intake. I am running RON102 fuel from ARAL germany this should be similar to octane 95 in the USA.

Your PWM seems really high. I have a similar boost curve for my map 6 settings and my PWM is about half yours, but I still hit my boost targets no problem.

You might have a boost leak some where. I say this because you have high PWM and are not hitting your targets.

I know the VRSF CP just came out so you must have recently installed it. I would check that for leaks first.

Set PID gain back to 10.

Map 6 targets look to be a bit too aggressive but it's hard to say for sure with that log.

FF need to learn up but is fairly high, so you may indeed have a boost leak

Try to get a good 3rd gear log without the RPM fluctuations.

For a flash, you can look in to the Bootmod3 option.

Thanks for the advise, i will try to make a better log today. It was rainy when doing the log. I'll check for boost leaks as i have not yet installed the vrsf charge pipe, it is still in the box

Attached three logs, first log is from 4th gear. It is currently 2 degrees celcius here in the netherlands, so getting grip is tough

I have kept PID on 12 and will set it on 10 later and make new logs if needed. PWM is indeed high, wasn't so high before (check previous logs), i did install the BMS Performance Intake after this... But maybe there is already a crack in the oem charge pipe, i don't know yet. Anyway, the oem charge pipe will probably be changed this week by the VRSF one.

Did some map 6 logs with pid on 10, still high pwm and avg ign is also increasing and high. I also found an error code in JB4: 102001 Air mass, plausibility -- Tuner code, ignore. I have the idea that all this is caused by installing the BMS Performance Intake, but maybe this is coincidence and my oem plastic charge pipe is leaking...

I also did two logs on map2 (with pid on 12), but boost is quite low on this map, almost as stock.

Did some logs on map5 and they look really good. Maybe the boost on map 6 i've set is just too high or needs some finetuning? Map 5 tops at 15+ boost which is only 2psi lower what i've set on map6...

Haha, yes i did some Anyway, attached two logs, one of map6 which doesn't look good and one on map5 which looks good to me.

Also I have an error code in JB4 after installing BMW Performance Intake: B4: 102001 Air mass, plausibility -- Tuner code, ignore. Why is that.

I would still like to use map6, it was ok with the values i use but not anymore... any suggestions on that?

Map 1 looks fine.

Map 5 looks okay as well, I see you are running the EWG board but are you running the EWG wires? FF is set at 150, you'll need to set that back to default.

Yes i'm running EWG wires, i have never set FF to 150, i checked it on my side and it is now on 63, this is strange. Anyway I have set it to default 60 again. I'll drive for a while now and see how it behaves. Tomorrow i'm going to install the vrsf charge pipe.

FF will change on it's own depending on conditions. The safe bet is to change it to default when changing to different maps. I don't, but I have a pretty good idea how my car reacts to different maps/fuels now.

chargeipe installed now, i haved added 15% ethanol to my ron95 fuel runnin map5 now. logs look good, avg ign of 3, pwm is low and max psi of approx 14. i have sent you a pm anthony235 hoping to share some of your map6 settings.
