Thanks yes I know the 3rd is better and I will have to find a long space to do this. So even though with the adjustments things feel better you still suspect a boost / vaccum leak. I assume it would be a very small leak.

Hard to say for sure on a 2nd gear log. But DB=65 and FF=150 are some pretty aggressive settings to be under boost. Could be the turbo just not having enough time to spool in 2nd.

Get us a 3rd or 4th gear log and I can tell you with some more certainty.

Agreed, some sort of hardware issue here.

Hmm ok going to do some research on finding a possible leak as well as providing a 3rd gear run.

Hey guys just got all the parts together for the leak testing and will proceed with that an a third gear run.

Also wanted to point out that I had terrible WG rattle. With out logs I went ahead and tried tightening the rear turbo. Did two turns of the rod and the rattle remained and car produced less boost. So backed it out to the stock location. This was running on the old FW - G5 and not with logs etc. Once I did the firmware update to G5-iso the rattle was gone.

I am adding this info as was reading that when PMW is high and FF is is high it may be a boost / vaccum leak or WG issues. So not sure if this will add valuable input as well.

Did the Vacuum line test as per the video and vacuum is good. Next will be the 3rd gear run and boost pressure test.

Decay your duty bias' for 6K rpms and up.

On the boost leak, if there is one, it's not too bad. Could be the turbos/wastegates as well.

Thank you. When you say Decay you mean to take the value down to 50 /0 ? On the possible boost leak I am suspecting the turbos / wastegates as well.

Also once things are fine here does that mean I have a good base to go to map 5 etc or we would need to go through a similar process with the user settings for each map ?

No, just decay them to 40 for starters.

The user adjustment tab is for all maps unless you are a single turbo.

Ok here are the logs. When I went into user settings FF auto learned to 125 and Open loop 74. I reset FF back to 100 for the 3rd gear run.

So FF100 and Duty basis at 65 and decayed from 6000 up to 40.

When you decay values, you scale them and make smaller adjustments.

FF also need to learn back up, it's dynamic so let it learn on it's own.

Thanks and understood.

So based on the graph should I set duty basis to 45 at 6000 since we are under target boost now at that point ?

Do 65 up to 5500 rpms then do 60, and 55 for 6000-7000

If I understand this correctly - We make the duty basis setting adjustment with ff set to 100 then let the jb4 auto adjust ff to correct hitting the target boost ?

Correct. DB setting change the shape of the curve and FF rises or lowers the entire curve. FF is dynamic and will also adjust on it's own as needed but if you need DB tuning that can conflict with the FF learning process.

FF needs to learn up more but you must have a hardware issue. Boost is building really slow.

Your timing is also marginal so I'd recommend doing the pump flash. Ultimately though you're going to have to find out why your boost is building so slow.

Could it also be that I am doing something wrong with how I am doing the runs so the turbos are not spooling enough for the full 3rd gear ? Is there is way I should be doing this ? Pretty much I am flooring it in 3rd at 1K rpm. I can also just do a 1 - 2 - 3 full throttle on each.

Not really...you're not hitting target boost until about 5K rpms.
