Raised FOL to 80 and logged another run in map 7. Also logged a run in map 6 with 20 psi boost target. What say you sir?

Map 7 looks fine.

Map 6 isn't too bad, I'd probably increase DB's down low and then decay them slightly up top.

Correct, try and get the DB curve down low to come up and match your PWM curve.

Hmmm...strange AFR fluctuation but you had wheel spin, hit a bump, or ???

Decay the duty biases a little more up top so the FF curve will come down a bit.

FF needs to learn up a tad but your TRIMS are still maxed out. Any more E85 and you will get limp modes and codes.

Overall not too bad.

Short log...

Set FOL to 70 and do a longer log.

Put all your AFR biases to 50, we need to get your trims and AFRs to level out a bit.

Okay. You reckon all is well with PI and the AIC6 controller? Boost; AFR and Trims are just all over the place. Trims always max out on tip-in like as though PI is not kicking in on time. Then it recovers and trims bottom out like too much fuel is being dumped.

My fuel mileage has gone from 18-19 mpg city to 15.4 granted I was running stock turbo, e30 and no PI and stg 2 lpfp back then. I am only running e48-e59 now and I don't floor it all the time. I mean I approach 4k-5k rpm twice a day max except when I log WOT runs which is probably 3 times a week. Something just seems off.

Also, I hear this electrostatic noise coming from the engine bay every time I touch the gas pedal under load. I want to say that is the PI kicking in but I am not sure. PI is supposed to kick in during WOT and not when cruising at 1500-3k rpm correct? It wasn't there before PI kit and Pure stage 2 turbo upgrade.

I apologize if this sounds like a rant. Its just that we have been tweaking and making adjustments for a while now and the car still isn't behaving and providing clean and consistent logs. Thanks again for all your help Steve.

Part of the problem is that you are having large throttle closures resulting in overboost as seen by the TMAP, however that isn't actual boost. PI is boost referenced so when you are having those boost issues, the AFR's will richen up. Due to inconsistent boost, that is what you are seeing.

I may have asked, but why is your PID gain 25, that is really high for your platform.

To get PI under control, you are going to have to get boost under control.

Okay. Need to set PID gain back to 10. My bad. Is there any other settings I should change to get boost under control. Going back a few logs in this thread, the logs looked better. It seems it got worse as we progressed.. Any idea as to why I am experiencing throttle closures? Oh snap, I just remembered something. I unplugged the MAF sensor a few logs back due to slight sputter at low rpm. Should I plug it back in? I was informed by Terry to unplug it a while back after I installed my AFE intake and experienced the sputter and jerking at low rpm. I also dialed back Ethanol concentration. Not sure if that was a good idea.

You'll need to get boost under control to have good and consistent results.

You can leave the MAF disconnected but you have changed quite a few variables (maf, PID Gain, AFE intake, ethanol content).

You may want to put the stock intake back on and plug the MAF back in until you get it stable, then make one change at a time and don't make another hardware change until you get it dialed in.

The Afe intake mod was over a year ago . It was certainly before the Stage 2 turbo upgrade; PI Kit + AIC6 and stage 2 LPFP, N20 tmap; GFB DV + etc. The only changes I have made recently was unplugging the MAF sensor; setting PID gain to 25 and reducing Ethanol content. I will do the following:
1. Set PID gain to 10
2. Plug MAFS back in
3. Go back to E60 from E49..then post a log .

LOL...sounds good. I thought you had recently gotten it and done the MAF delete. Either way, we need to get the boost under control so things can stabilize a bit.

Plugged the MAF sensor back in and set PID gain back to 10 then ran a couple logs. Still over boosting though. Trims look a bit better. Thinking of going back to map 7 and starting over. What do you think? Thanks.

Try dialing it in at lower boost. Almost looks like you are getting some trans slip and then it starts closing the throttle and boost gets very inconsistent. Both logs show some RPM fluctuation and the throttle closing about the same time.

Dialed back boost target from 22 to 20. Dropped boost safety from 35 to 30. Increased Ethanol concentration to E60 from E49. Logs attached. Did not really feel any throttle closure this time around but had slight traction problems. DSC light flashed during both WOT runs. Thanks.

I think you may have a hardware issue. PWM was virtually maxed out the entire time in both logs.

What do you suggest boost solenoid? Boost leak somewhere? Car is making boost though.. No CEL, but I did get a drivetrain malfunction error once over the weekend which went away after a couple seconds.

That doesn't look bad, now try 18psi to redline om map 6 and start working your way up from there.
