Thanks Terry,

Clearing codes as per your instructions works. Ignition on, engine off.
Codes clear with no issues.

Newbie here. I don't know anything about anything in JB4 🤦*♂️ so here's a log if anybody cares to look at it and tell me my car isn't dying.
P.S. No modifications except the JB4

How do you manual transmission guys get the OBD cable through the firewall? Just installed my JB4 and had to temporarily route the cable outside the car to set the tune to Map3, then disconnect.

The grommet in the instructions contains the clutch reservoir line; there was really no good way to budge it from either side of the firewall. Anybody find a better solution?

Yes:

You have to plan the whole thing out. The data cable on the passenger side, JB4 under the passenger side cowl, extend the OBDII wire from the JB4 across the cowl towards the driver's side. For the OBDII cable, do the following:
1) get a head-mounted flashlight and a long flat-head screwdriver. I mean long and thick, around 18".
2) go under the hood and find the grommet, get your screwdriver, and punch through it. Punch HARD and get rid of the grommet completely by pushing it down through the hole - you can do it - you are probably not using enough force. The grommet is not necessary at all and don't bother to reinstall it. The clutch line is thick and as long as you aren't using anything super sharp you will not damage it. You will have better luck going from the under-hood side of the firewall.
3) push the screwdriver all the way down through the resulting hole so you can punch through the firewall material past the grommet, and get an idea from under the driver's seat where the hole will be.
4) enlarge this hole slightly with your screwdriver and make sure you can see it from under the driver's seat. Again don't bother playing too nice with the firewall material; this part will be hidden when the footwell panel goes back on.
4) get yourself some olive oil, or other clean, lubricating, slightly viscous substance, and oil up the clutch line from both sides of the hole
5) take the OBDII cable and from the below-driver's side, push the small end up through the hole. Shimmy it up there; it will fit.
6) pull it all the way through from under-hood and connect it to the JB4 (there is a photo in the link I have below) of what it looks like. Something like the second photo.
7) do the data cable side - full DIY below.

Gotcha, thanks for the edit and clarification. I have a F30; the photos in the link looked a little different from what I was expecting. It didnít help that I didnít read enough to realize that the grommet shown was the passenger side

Limit boost as needed in 1st and 2nd gear to avoid it.

Thanks.
13 psi - 1 gear
15 psi - 2 gear

There is no error. But it is slow (B48 / 320), what is the estimated limit?
Duty bias can affect this?

Why does she appear? Sensor, algorithm, magic?

I get an error at 1 after starting at 3500-4000 rpm. Is it possible to make a boost card for 1 gear map duty by turns? From 13.5 psi it comes out very slow 0-50 km/h (2.05-2.1s, when at 330 (B48) this time 1.7-1.8).

Can you record JB4 logs of fault coming up so we can better evaluate the details?

Hello,

Map5: Additive map with peak of 6psi over stock added & more aggressive timing profile for higher octane fuel (experimental, 93+ octane, bolt on modifications)

Which are settings that when changed add: more aggressive timing. Someone can tell me these settings? I have a F56 Cooper S + FBO with 104 octane and would like to replicate this setting. Thx

Hello, need some help.

I have a 2016 340i, with a JB4, bluetooth connect, BMS intake, and epipnwod (backwards - not sure why that word is blocked).

I am STRONGLY considering trading it in on a 2019 M2 Competition.

Will the JB4 work?
Will the intake work?
Will the epipnwod work?

Thanks in advance for the help!

M2 Comp has a S55 engine that is completely different from the B58. You will need to sell your parts and start all over again.

Thanks... I could have SWORN that the M2 used the same B58 as my 340i. Perhaps I was thinking of the "standard" M2, and not the Competition model? Or perhaps i was just thinking of a couple years ago?

jb4 mobile APP why not support Chinese(language)?
It's such a big market that it only takes a professional translator a few days and money to solve it.

I have V9 on my JB4, does anyone remember if map 4 puts it stock but with logging abilities ?

Also on V11 it says map 0 fully disables JB4, does this include logging ?

Asking as I'm looking to install BM3 but keep the JB4 for logs.

Thanks

For v9 that is correct.

for v11 map 4 is valet (lower boost targets) with logging. You can log on all maps as long as CAN is plugged in.

Hi Terry,

Getting back into the game with a b58.
Which firmware do you recommend at this time for a ********* stock car?
V11 has test 1 and a test 4 file

One question DO we enable this? bit3 - Raise "boost over stock" cap from 10psi to 20psi.
