Will start with the pump flash with E30 and I'll post logs.

- reset any adaptations after the flash?
- best Map to drive on? I'm normally on Map2
- If one day I'm forced to fill with only 93-oct with an ethanol BEF, and don't have my OBD2 cable with me to flash back, what harm will driving on it cause?

- you can...it won't hurt.
-map 2 is fine to start then.
-don't drive aggressively until you can change the flash or add more ethanol.

I loaded the pump flash tonight and the car drives well. It's on Map 1 for now and feels strong, peaking about 17psi. I haven't put in ethanol yet I want to verify everything is working properly first.

- Should I still need to lower my FOL? I haven't red-lined WOT 3rd gear yet. before the BEF it threw fuel pressure codes.

- Should I raise menu 12 back up now or leave it? It's at 2200. Pre-BEF I never resolved the boost oscillation even after dropping it that low. My boost surpass the target boost, and it looks like it still over-shot in 2nd gear.

- Any other suggestions about the log ex: timing? Thanks, happy easter

Since the BEF, the boost oscillation is non-existent. I'm thrilled and the smile is finally back on my face. Thanks for all of your help about that I very much appreciate it.

Okay, first logs on ethanol, E30 on the pump flash. I'm on Map 1 and I'll go to Map 2 if you think it's solid. My trims are slightly lower but still approach 40my. I also noticed my hpfp runs shy of 15 compared to 17-17.5 before the flash. Should I be worried about that

How do they look to you?

Thank you,

- Eric

Fueling looks fine so far. If you add more ethanol, switch to the E85 flash.

Will do. Still on my first tank of E30. Driving very strong however 3 times in 3 days the car threw the "engine malfunction" CEL because of:
- 30FE boost over target
- 3100 low boost mode engaged

I can tell you that all three times it happened at partial throttle cruising around, not full throttle. I wasn't logging at the time. I attached some logs from earlier today in case they are helpful. Menu 11 and 12 are both at 2500. Do you have any suggestion?

Thanks Steve

Set menu 11 and 12 back to default and see if that resolves your issue.

Default kicked me to Map4 - 04-30-2017, 08:31 PM

Hey Steve - I tried E30 mix with map2 for the first time. I got the double blinker flash and kicked me to Map4 but no codes. Overboost it looks like

menu 10 - 3
menu 11 - 2500
menu 12 - 2200 (boost oscillation when set higher. put back at 2800 and clicked downward until oscillation stopped)

What can I adjust to help this, and is map5 a better option? I could switch to the E85 BEF (currently pump flash). Thank you!

That's correct, you were overboosting and you need to raise your boost safety limit.

Lower FF to 60 and try a couple more pulls.

I went to lower FF but found that it was already at 55. Did you mean FOL?

Hey Steve - I took more logs in Map2, two are below. I'm concerned about HPFP and LPFP numbers in the short log but in the longer log they look okay.

I'm at 30% E85 with PUMP flash.
- I'd like to increase if the logs check out okay
- I'll flash the E85 back end too as long as running E30 on it won't damage anything.
- Am I better on Map2 or Map5?

- Any other notable observations?

(Also, I do not have a FMIC. I've always watched IAT and doesn't rise much since I never drive hard for long periods. I think the log below only rose ~27deg above ambient. I don't want to cook anything internally so how much rise in IAT is safe?)

thank you

LPFP is crashing...that needs addressed first.

In your opinion is an in-line pump enough? my plans for the car won't exceed e40, e50 tops. and stock turbos unless they **** the bed. Still would love to know if better drive in map 2 or 5. thank you

Stage 1 is not recommend for use with ethanol.

If you want input on logs for map 2 and map 5 then post 2 proper 3rd gear logs.

I was taking the logs you suggested (map 1) and the jb4 kicked to map 0 and the hazards stayed stuck on. I read the various reasons it could kick to map4, but why did it go to map 0? the log is blank and I couldn't dig up the answer in my searches.

and where is the setting to raise the boost safety found?

[I've been putting money aside for the stage 2 lp pump so that's coming soon. In the logs since, the lp numbers haven't trailed off like that luckily]. I hope you had a great holiday weekend. Thanks,

- Eric

Map 0 sounds like a JB4 reset. Maybe a bad power connection or the JB4 connect kit connected to the wrong power source. If so, it may have zero'd out all your user adjustment settings.
