Hi,

The unit is compatible. Globally we lower the boost to 4.0. With the ethanol in your 87 and 95 you could use more boost due to the ethanol so if you get the unit be sure to get the cable so we can assist in optimising it.

Two time slips for users that cropped up on the other forum showing great exit speeds which could translate to good time with traction..

Manual with **, JB1 Map 1 5.0, stock tires

DSG with only Injen intake and JB1 Map 1 5.0, stock tires

Nice result with a manual GTI with JB1 and ** only running 13.1 on drag radials with no warm up allowed. Map 1 5.0 was used.

JB1 Golf GTI with ********, intake and around 100oct. Car made 314whp and 360ft lb, base dyno run is 242whp with map 0 and the high octane. Car was custom tuned by one of our dealers using map 6.

We had a manual user dip into the 12's this weekend running a 12.9@109mph
Mods are JB1, ** and our meth kit running on Hoosier Radials. Car was full weight on stock suspension.
The stock clutch battled with the traction so the use of the Hoosiers turned out to be counter productive but the exits give a good idea of the power produced.

A user posted his dyno sheet on a another forum.
Dyno car with JB1 map1 @ 5.4. Just JB1, aFe panel filter and CTS ** on CA 91oct. Hood was closed on all runs and 90 degrees in the shop. 3rd gear.
The boost is relatively high for 91 octane so the torque has been cut by the ECU by around 40ft lbs, you can see on two of the runs the graph early on shows a adaption occurring. Good results nevertheless with a table top power peak.

Some nice results by David on his GTI on a heart breaker Mustang dyno. Mods are on the dyno sheet. They ran the car in fourth so it cut the gains short by running into the limiter.

We are releasing the JB4 this month that will be able to tune for the larger turbo on your Skoda.

Can you email me a picture of your engine with a general over view and I can see. There are some A4, 5 Quattro derivatives that the unit will work on.
You can email that through to george@burgertuning.com .

I removed my JB1 yesterday, decided to scan the car today (no CEL) just to check it out since the hiccup issues I’m having do not seem to be related to the JB1 as some mk7 members suggested.

Are these codes normal after removing the JB1?
codes:
P011300 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Bank 1 Circuit High
Intermittent
P019000 - Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor "A" Circuit
Intermittent
P010600 - Manifold Abs.Pressure or Bar.Pressure Range/Performance
Intermittent
P010800 - Manifold Abs.Pressure or Bar.Pressure High Input
Intermittent
P023800 - Turbocharger Boost Sensor (A) Circ. High Input
Intermittent

Hi,

If you removed it with the battery still connected without the ECU going to sleep it is possible these can be caused by the JB removal as that is where the unit connects too.
If you feeling hesitations in the higher gears its typical if the boost is set to high.
