Default Did I just trash my flywheel? - 08-19-2018, 06:59 AM

Long story short.

Started my car today an realised I had big problem
getting into any gear. Thought thats weird but Eventually got going and went thru gear 1-2-3. When in 3rd i went wot (engine was still warm since last drive 20 min ago)

Immediately I feel horrible vibrations.
First thought was a missfire, so I pulled to the side.
But engine is running fine. Smooth as always but thf entire car is vibrating. Gave it some gentle revs and the vibrations increased as the rpm.

Feels like a BIG unbalance in the flywheel.

Changed to a new is clutch 2 months ago, checked the flywheel at the time but everything seemed to be ok then.

Can the stock DMFW fail and make this kind of vibration?

Was actually logging during this event.
Everything seems in order except a weird jump/drop in rpm.

Any help would be appreciated. Need to know if I should order a new flywheel.

Could be a couple of things but that could be it if it's only doing it neutral.

Small update.

Flywheel was completly destroyed.
Several springs missing (mashed up on one side)
The outer half of flywheel were miss aligned.
No wonder I had bad vibrations 😲

So a little heads up to anybody running FBO on stock DMFW.
