You need to goto the first page of this thread, download the maps from the link, unzip them (either on your phone or on your computer), put them on your phone, then connect the MHD app to car, select JB4 backend, then select the appropriate map, then let the thing do its $h!t.

Also, make sure you set the JB4 to map 0 before starting the flash.

After the flash, you will want to 0 out the AFR bias and set steering wheel controls to 4/2. Probably lower FOL too

1. The license you bought (or anyone) is the full flasher, priced at $99 but discounted while beta is ongoing to $79. When I add the JB4 backend only option, I will add a $20 upgrade option. But like anyone so far you won't need it.
2. No sorry we don't share the maps source. If we had done like this, our flexible pricing (selling flasher and maps separately) would not have been possible.

For your needs, I forgot to mention that you can override the throttle mapping from any map with a linear mapping.

Should also point out that's $79 USA dollar. I went and purchased and it was over $100 here in Canada. Ridiculous mark up! Really hurt when I was expecting it to be $79.

Can you explain how can I do this? Say I run the OTS map w/ JB4 in passive mode/firmware, and the load-request map on the OTS is non-linear like the stock map (not sure if that's true, just assuming here). How do I go about changing that?

Are you joking?

Also - to those asking about open maps, FYI, building decent maps is not very hard... It just takes some time and patience logging. I have some base maps that I can send out if people want to try their hand at tuning - they're mostly for E30+ but I plan to start building stage 1 + 2 maps for less aggressive setups.

Lol. Yeah I did. And then it screwed itself up and got stuck in recovery mode when trying to uninstall it so I could sell it.

I have been out today - don't laugh but it is scorching here in the U.K. at 18 celsius! I'm stock apart from a JB4 and a drop in and run map 3 wiht no meth. A few weeks ago I was dialing in the meth additive setting and found anything above 45 was causing timing drops. It was cooler ambients then too. Today the IAT getting well above 100 without timing drops so I figure this is an effect of the changes to the knock tables?

I'll spend a bit more time logging to see if this allows me to up the additive curve.

It was most likely false knock creating your timing drops. I loaded the 6/6 E85 flash last week and have been smiling ever since. Timing drops are gone and the car hauls more ass than it ever has.

And worry not I've seen plenty of bad logs with major timing drops when octane isn't up to the task. So the knock system remains very active still.

I've read all 31 pages and still not 100% clear..I've used a piggy (JB4) for years and want to check out flash maps.

Can you flash and run any BB or MHD OTS maps (not backend, full maps) while the JB4 is installed on the car? (I assume set to Map 0 = disabled).

If so would I then be able to use Map 4 and get boost/timing on gauges and what not whuile having the flash control boost timing fuel etc?

Can anyone clarify?

No you cannot use a bb map. Bms has specific mhd maps that are on the first page of this thread. You can flash any of those bms mhd specific or mhd supplied maps while running the jb4 on top of them.

Check out this thread: http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29285

I'm currently running a custom mhd map stacked with the jb4 using option A (jb4 flash mode). My car has never felt any better than on this setup, for me it's the best of both worlds.
