Ok guys, got some good news, and some bad news. Which do you want first? :p

Bad News
After spending the past few days with the engineer and the floor manager, the backlog of work on our machines has reached the point where we are working at 150% of our current capacity. What this means is that, until our new machines arrive at the end of this year, we won't be able to put the new ring & pinions into production

Because of this, instead of making you guys have to wait another few months, we now have no choice but to temporarily cancel this pre-buy for the new ring & pinions.

Good News
We already have the MT fitment LSD in stock, and the DCT/335d fitment LSD is still on schedule for end of Aug.

What this means is that, instead of offering a new ring & pinion and several price points (based on numbers of buyers), instead, we will now have only 1 price point (what was originally the 20+ price) and we will machine and modify an oem ring & pinion for you instead so that it will bolt up to the new LSD.

So instead of having to wait till our back-log has cleared up, we will start offering the following within the next few weeks (we still need to make new ring gear spacers and bolts):

- 135i/335i DCT with 2.56 Final Drive
- 335d with 2.81 Final Drive

Rebuild Service: Not applicable to Europe/Australia
- Add $500 if you send us your entire pumpkin first, and we will rebuild it with the new LSD. Includes return shipping within the mainland US (+$100 for Canada).

e.g You send us your MT pumpkin. We will fully recondition your pumpkin and rebuild with the new LSD. Total Cost: $1779.96

- Additional $500 core exchange applies if we ship you a rebuilt pumpkin first (subject to availability). Refundable after we receive your old pumpkin back

e.g We ship you a fully reconditioned MT pumpkin with LSD first. Total Cost: $2279.96. After you install your new MT pumpkin, ship back your old pumpkin to us, and we will refund $500 to you

I must apologise sincerely for getting everyones hopes up with regards to the new ring & pinions, and I have tried my best to get our production line to get these done, but the reality is that we just don't have the capacity at present to make them

We can't ship them with fluid in them unfortunately

We recommend using what the oem service manual recommends (or what you have previously had good experience with). No special fluid is required.

Do these diff's need a break in period or can I fill it with fluid and go racing?

Does anyone know how much fluid these diff's take? I hear most people mentiong "just grab 2 bottles and you'll be fine". Me and a BostonBeemah are putting these in at the same time. Does 3 bottles between the both of us work or will we need 4 bottles?

Got my 3.46 M/T LSD installed and wow, what a difference! I like to take corners fairly sharply and I used to feel traction breaking and the tires scrambling to get traction. Not any longer, however. The car now corners like it is on rails. Full review to follow but if you have rear wheel drive and a JB4, you are not getting all your power down. An LSD is a MUST HAVE for rear wheel drive cars with the kind of horsepower our cars have. The Mfactory LSD is very quiet (I had read some people complaining about noises from their LSDs) and works very well. The car feels absolutely glued to the ground, especially when going around corners. If you check prices, you will find that Mfactory's current pricing is a heck of a deal, particularly for the 3.46 M/T LSD for welded transmissions.

Price is $2280 inc shipping (+$100 to Canada) and core exchange fee. Once you've installed your new core, if you return your old core to us (within 30 days), we will refund the $500 core exchange fee to you i.e Total cost is $1780

We also have 4 x 3.46 135i/335i MT Large Cores fully rebuilt with Helical LSD, and 2 x 3.46 135i/335i AT Small Cores fully rebuilt with Helical LSD.
