However I don't have that zusb number when I look for it in the list, all I have are 868xxxx. I can't put it in manually because I get error 704 I think it was. I have the newest spdaten file v60. So what am I missing?
8647156 was qualified for the US 135is (03/10-12/13.) 8684958 is a later revision which can be found in SP daten v60.0.

Hi All, new to BMWs and trying to get through using this software.

How do I tell what ECU type I have? From the chart on this topic I either have MEVD17 or MEVD126. Its for a 2011 135i.

2011 will def be MEVD17. Which also mean you can use a MHD stage 1 map for a low cost, with the ppk advantages but more power and user options.

[QUOTE=MHD;514923]Cool! Can you tell me if there is a way to do this without an android phone? I have a Nexus 5 and I don't think OTG works correctly on those devices.

No, you need an Android phone or tablet. People have done it with 40 dollar best buy tablets. Why wouldn't it work on a Nexus 5? Quick Google search of Nexus 5 OTG makes it seem like it would work. I did it with a Google Pixel without a problem.

I'll try it out on my device, but OTG support for the Nexus 5 appears mixed.

In any case like you said I can always get a different device.

Update: I was able to try it out, the OTG cable works fine. The app seems great, fantastic work guys.

Haven't purchased maps yet, but thinking about it.

Only issue is that the ECU connectivity seems spotty. One day, it worked fine and was able to read codes. Next day, I couldn't communicate at all. Waited a day, and it worked again. Seems temperamental, but I can probably blame the OBD cable for that.

FYI, my first OTG cable was ****. I had all manner of inconsistent behavior including connectivity problems. I'd look there before replacing the OBD cable.

If you want the latest PPK ROM for your specific car, absolutely. You can find the latest one using the kmm_ATSH file.

It's a tricky process and I'm a bit stuck for time at the moment but in summary, you need your production code (eg mine is PM76) plus your option codes (such as 205 - automatic transmission). Practice by searching for your current stock ZB number in the kmm_ATSH file and find thelist that applies to your exact car that contains your current ZB number. Next find that vehicle list but with "NPOW" option as well. The last ZB on that list should be the latest PPK for your car.

Hey, my car is a 2010 built 135i from Germany.
I know, that the software have been updated by dealer.
It's E89-13-03-504 atm.

That means, that PPK isn't possible, right?

Thank you guys!
Cheers
