Default Downgrade from 98g1b to 98g0b remote flash - 05-05-2016, 10:46 PM

Good day all 98g1b guys. I am willing to do the flash from 98g1b to 98g0b.
I can do this via remote and teamvier together. You will need Winkfp and Sp Daten v57 and also the previous Sp daten file for your cars model aswell as a battery charger.
Pm me if you need this done. I can help

Nobody who can figure out how to install winkfp and update the daten files will pay you to flash, the installation is the hard part.

IF you wanna charge you need to set up VM where they end user doesn't have to install anything.

I'm not sure if that's a viable business model either. There are already a ton of VMs floating around out there for free.

It usually goes something like this:

1. Purchase a vehicle or simply borrow Mom's.

2. Discover that there are a lot of computers in the vehicle that can be easily updated and/or altered.

3. Find a torrent and download a VM (while cursing, complaining, and posting about how large the download is and/or download speeds.)

4. Post on multiple forums asking for assistance with selecting the proper cable. Ignore any solid advice and/or technical justification and decide that the color of the printed circuit board is the only criteria that matters.

5. Cap your budget for any necessary equipment at $40.00. Anything higher than that is simply a "BMW tax."

6. Order the cheapest cable and battery charger that you can find on eBay or Amazon. Or better yet, borrow them from a friend.

7. Install the VM. With the assistance of fellow forum members, of course.

8. Don't bother reading any BMW documentation and/or technical training material. What for? I got this!

9. Run some program whose name you can't recall (was it INTA or ISPA???), click a few buttons, cuss about your inability to understand the German language and ultimately screw up your vehicle in some way, shape, or form.

10. Finally, post about how traumatic your experience has been and expect forum members to spend days, sometimes weeks trying to help you fix the problem while whining about how difficult and time consuming the process has become.

With all due seriousness, I've seen the above played out countless times with ever increasing frequency.

IMHO, said VMs are like handing a gun to a baby...
