Yes, that's correct. ZB number 8639162 is program version 8G0B.

Yes, 8639162 is a newer ZB number than the one you have.

thank you alot....
i appreciate it...

another question...i think a few guys here want to Flash back to this ZUSB...

HOW can they do it?....am i right that with the files i mentioned in my previous posts allow an expert Flash, so the dme will accept the files?...- or is this downgrade Progress for every DME ZUSB which is on the car unique...?

for example...

35 MT EU want PPK.....
Needed is 8639162
they Flash these files
Prog Data Set:8618483A.0pa
Data Data Set:B8639163.0da

or am i completley wrong in my way to think:D

(sry for my bad "desctiption"....)

How is the sound so different for you guys?

All I notice is a few extra burbles when the rpms go down, and that's only if the windows are open. With the windows up, it sounds the same - at least from inside the car.

The sound difference is quite noticeable if you park the car in a tunnel and have a friend kick the pedal like a spaz while you press your ear directly against the tailpipe.

LMFAO, ok thanks... people really should stop over-embellishing stuff on E90 Post.

The first time I found out about the golf-tee mod (can flap forced open), they made it seem like my car was gonna sound like a Ferrari.

Anyone successfully flash an N55 xDrive E90?

My car was done with ZUSUB 8639128, completed successfully with no errors (took about 1hr), and now I have misfires under moderate/heavy loads even at low boost (under 10 psi) and regardless of what map JB4 is set to (even happens on maps 4 and 0).

It's a Canadian car and VIN was checked - it's the US model (as opposed to EU). So I'm pretty sure we flashed the right ZUSUB.

What could be the problem?

Was anyone able to screenshot or download the instructions prior to them disappearing?

I am guessing you use Winkfp, select ecu, update Zusb with provided number. Code the car, loads twice to 100%. Use NCS to send an empty text file saved as .man extension( havent got the understanding this part yet) to clear any errors.

US 2011 e82 6 MT
MEVD17
97V0B
Zusb 7629774

need to use zusb 8639164 ?

Any helpful links or really anything would be awesome, I ve read so much I am just trying to piece it all together. Not feeling confidant with my understanding right now.

Wondering if anybody could help me...

I just successfully did the Alpina B3 Flash, now I'm trying to do the PPK flash but I can't find the right ZUSB...

My car is a 2012 N55 335i, according to INPA my DME shows 8639012 which I'm guessing is MEVD17. I'm using SP Daten v58.1. I couldn't find 8639128 which i know the numbers have changed, anybody find the new one yet?

Any advice I'd appreciate, Thanks!

Once you flash PPK do you have to set the JB4 to BEF-mode (option 4-2)? Or keep running it in normal mode (option 4-3)?

Assuming you don't have a BEF of course.

Thanks.

I would keep running in normal mode. 4 - 2 is for high load BEFs. I wouldn't consider PPK high load.

Here's a very good explanation of what this setting actually does... http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showpo...8&postcount=18

For continuity... the misfire problem was resolved by replacing my 1-year old spark plugs.

Hey guys,

Ive been reading through this thread and im a little unsure.

I have a 2011 N55 335i DCT

I had the PPK flashed onto my car recently, massive increase in pops and gurgles.

I had been running the JB4 ISO 5.10 and have just removed it.

Can someone tell me, what are the flashing options with a COBB AP V3 that will not remove the pops and gurgles from the PPK flash I already have?

Can I run the OTS COBB Flashes? or the BMS BEF? Or nothing

Cheers

Yes code an empty .man to it. I was so confused by this as I had never coded. If you dont know what this means check this guide out and you will understand: http://codinge90.com/ncs-expert-basic-understanding/

Hi all,

I've got a 2012 135i with the DCT. I attempted to flash the PPK, but something went wrong and the car threw codes for essentially every model. I've reverted back. Can someone help me with some remote work?
