It's not highly developed enough yet but could be in the future. Is anyone running a larger turbo yet?

Yes it's not a popular platform for modification. At least you guys have the JB4 and our intake to wake it up.

It was just a minor change I sent for his specific application. Anyone can load it, may not notice the difference though.

Impressive of the customer service that JB4 has on the tune and logs. I would suggest you do what I did. Log your file, send to Terry....IF he makes an update......load it up. I will say the car is a bit smoother and has a bit more low end giddy up. I am having a custom ** made, so I know that things will change once it arrives. That said, I will do the same. Log, log and log, then see what the experts recommend. Thanks again for awesome support! Thank you Terry for your time and prompt responses!!

Happy to help.

Spread the word we need more Lexus JB4s out there so we can justify costs of further free firmware developments.

You guys have any files laying around that are like..mad turned up 100%? Or maybe you guys are able to make the car pop a just a little? I've got an intake/Apexi N1X quad exhaust.

Or maybe do the rest of the maps have any hidden surprises? I've only tried 1-2.

Yessir I do!
well actually I want to know if I changed my jb4 to map 2 correctly.
I installed the intake and jb4 at the same time so the gains Im feeling I want to make sure its not just the intake(which i dont think it is). these lexus is200t's are so smooth and quite its hard to tell, but I do notice that there is much more pull and Im at 100mph before I even realize it.
Here's what I did after I installed the software and connected my laptop to the jb4. turned ignition on(only so dash lights on not engine), connected to the jb4 in the software and it said connected. it had map 0 selected by default so I selected map 2 and then disconnected.
when i reconnected it still had map 2 selected, did I do this successfully and is there another way to tell if Im definitely on map 2?
Also Ive noticed the boost gauge never gives full boost and turn orange anymore.
Thanks! the turbo sounds awesome with the intake also

I don't mean to speak on behalf of BMS but If you reconnected after switching to map 2, and when you reconnected map 2 was still showing then yes, you did it properly.

For proof, you could probably do some logging with map 0 and map 2. After logging and looking at your data, you should notice that your peak boost will be higher on your map 2 log than your map 0.

Im definitely gonna do some logging...just need to find a road where I can do it safely and be able to hit start on my laptop. In the meantime Ill time a 0-60 run, on stock I timed it at about 7 seconds, and in some videos with my setup its 0-100 in about 14 seconds, so from a roll I could play around with that.

Here are tonights results according to this app I tried.
81 degrees, a little humid, full tank, work bag full of tools in the trunk and my 205lb butt in the seat
I launched from a dig at around 3k, didnt have enough road for 1/4 mile. Does it look like map 2? Seems a little slow to me but could be the app and other factors
The power seems to fizzle out at top end, lots of mid range torque but then it just gets tired, do I need to edit map 2?
I still need to data log i know...

Hi Russelsfl,

You have comment my 0-130 Video on YouTube .
I run hps intake Tube + k&n drop in filter + Jb4 map2 on 102 ROZ! (Aral Ultimate) Gas to this Time.

I need 6 sec to launch from 0-60mph, the trick is to pull gas and brake to the same time to „load“ the transmission.
Pull gas and brake full down for max 3 sec, and than release brake and the car Launch great.
Dont hold brake and gas to long, the transmission oil will overheat fast!

I'd like to advise that using your phone's GPS without an actual speed verification device will give you results that are highly inaccurate. If you want the most accurate results, you need to start logging as you mentioned, mount a camera somewhere safe to view your the speedometer, or purchase a dragy/racelogic system.

You're going to waste a lot of gas playing with apps from the app store.

I agree! I used the stop watch app on my phone and it was under 6 seconds 0-60, alot of other users also claimed the app was off by 1-2 seconds, sometimes even more.
Im also gonna take a more detailed look at all the maps, and see if the data cable is long enough to route into car. I used map 2 because Ive read the best things about it. map 7 has more peak torque but less hp, I wonder if I could just change map 2 boost from 5 to 6🤔

I was looking at the different maps and there boost settings and noticed they are all the same🤔
The all start at +2psi low, +5psi mid, and end at +3psi
I do have the latest firmware. I thought map 7 had a max boost of 7psi so I was expecting to see different numbers for each.
anyway so I increased each by 1psi and car felt a little quicker.
Im gonna log it, just haven't had the chance yet.
