Yeah, I was able to download the N55 BEF Tunes, but I can't find the difference in the Map settings for the JB4. Are you saying that the F series N55 Map settings above are different?
So if I flash the N55_PWG2_Race tune and select Map5 on the JB4, will I have the "//M style map, 13psi down low ramping up to 23psi at high RPM"?

The N55 maps are different than the S55 maps.. You have an N55, so don't read things in the S55 page they don't apply to you. Use the N55 map guide and setting guide.

Yeah, I get that. That's why I was asking the question.
So if I flash a MHD BEF tune, what are Map settings? Are they the standard JB4 settings for the F series as seen below or do they change with the BEF option. I have tried looking in this thread, but I don't see the information. Can you add it to the initial post?
Map Info (selected via menu 0 in dash or using JB4 Mobile/laptop interface. Map1 is the default map)
Map 0: JB4 disabled
Map 1: Additive target, around 4psi over stock.
Map 2: Additive target, around 6psi over stock. Suggested for those with 93 octane and bolt on modifications. Also good for small E85 mixtures.
Map 3: Progressive WMI mapping.
Map 4: Stock performance with JB4 active for logging only.
Map 5: Autotuning map, absolute target of 11-17psi based on octane and conditions.
Map 6: User definable absolute target map. Suggested for troubleshooting by professionals only.
Map 7: Race gas map. Absolute target of 18.5psi. Requires straight unleaded race gas.

Yes. Those are the correct jb4 maps for n55. Except, with the BEF loaded, maps 1 and 2 become absolute target maps vs additive maps. 14 and 16 psi if I recall correctly.
I'm not sure its in the thread. It may be, its a long thread Im pretty sure it is viewable when you go into the update firmware menu in the jb4. You can see the past firmware versions and the changelog for them. It was a few firmware versions back that maps 1 and 2 were made into absolute maps.
Is there somewhere I can find the reset of this information? I couldn't find it in this thread.
It varies by JB4 firmware version.

Who can make a custom bef ? Or how do I go about it ?
Depends on your engine, but basically and reputable tuner will make you a bef.

AFE Intake, MPE, N20 TMAP, and a lot of time on the garage floor!
Ive got a 435i EWG, and my car was flashed with the mhd bef race flash file before .
I noticed that when i changed mobile devices to update the mhd settings , the flash option turned to ‘long write’ as if it was flashing the file from scratch .
Should i have flashed back to map 0 before flashing the race file ? Or wad the ‘long write’ simply due to using a mobile device ?
HI Terry - The only confirmed BEF Map 2 absolute value found is for E series. Id really like to know Map 2 absolute value for F N55 BEF. My firmware is 10/19//5. It seems a valid point to ensure I am using the most beneficial config.
thanks,
Daniel

Do a log on map 1, lets take a look at it and see if map 2 is feasible. Then do a log on map 2 and we'll repeat. Then you'll know what YOUR car is targeting.

(I can post on Support if you prefer) I ran a Map2(file name:***25) and Map6(filename:***29) logs. Pump 93oct. BEF EWG RACE. See images and log files. Input is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Daniel

It'll be easier if you do to keep track of what you're doing.

Ok guys, I'm just interested in the real world performance differences this BEF will provide, differences that you will notice and feel. My 2012 F10 N55 sports package (not M sport) has the following mods, BMS intake, chargepipe, catted ********, and JB4. (Intercooler coming soon) Questons.
1. I mostly use the auto mapping for everyday use, will the BEF remap this?
2. I noticed that you can make changes based on driving modes (sport+, comfort, etc) I've always wanted the JB4 to change maps on-the-fly automatically when switching to sport modes (from auto map to map 2), can this be done?
3. Will it improve performance consistency for all maps? Clear up misfires & boost inconsistencies?
4. Will it effect previous custom coding changes in other areas like, close trunk with key, DVD plays always, disclaimer removal, etc. I have changed many more.
5. Can throttle response be customized.
I'm interested in the upgrade, but all I've seen is a fancy interface and a couple gimmicks like burble control. I'm trying to decide if the Intercooler will help more or the BEF. Maybe there is a different thread somewhere posting results.
I have an N54 335i 09/2008, ******* Dp, Jb4, fmic 5" and alu charge pipe. I'm running 98octane fuel. If I wan't to install a BEF with some minor burble I just need to download the latest version on the first page of this thread. Is that correct? My JB4 is a second hand so ni idea which version or firmware. Not the latest I guess because after installing ******* ********* I've got no fault codes...
