Hi.

I have been traditionally using the JB4 PC app for monitoring and managing my JB4.

I have previously downloaded the JuiceOTG mobile app for managing my JB4.

When checking the Android Playstore I now see an app called JB4 Mobile which is a paid app.

Which is the correct app I should be using to program and manage the JB4?

Looking to install MHD flash vs the BB flash I'm currently running....I have downloaded the MHD app.

Is one better than the other (Juice OTG vs. JB4 Mobile)?

MHD allows you to monitor via your android device. You must purchase the Monitor module.

Thanks!. I have downloaded the JB4 app and MHD Flasher n54 app.


It appears that I should select the Flash a Custom map within the MHD app and then load the appropriate map to match my config (from the zip file downloaded from MHD thread) correct?

Part 2 of question on MHD. I'll purchase the Flasher module from the store as it appears I must in order to flash..... From your comment above, you indicate I should purchase a monitoring license, but doesn't the JB4 perform data logging or is the JB4 logging different data... Wondering why to pay for MHD logging when JN4 provides logging.... sorry for newbie questions.....Using BB flash with JB4 currently which I'm very familiar with. Just learning the MHD flash...

Final question.... Is MHD flash so much better than BB flash if I don't intend to modify? BB flash is free, MHD has an increasing cost depending on features... Running BB flash now. Is the cost to move to MHD worth the cost? Thanks!

If you are flashing the BMS file to use as a backend flash (bef) then mhd with the flasher module is all you need. You are correct in assuming the jb4 mobile app is sufficient for monitoring your car.

Currently, MHD flasher is better than the BB flasher. The BB flasher is under redevelopment/upgrade and because it's free, could be worth keeping in your case. I have not kept up with the updates but you could research here and on bimmerboost for more information or to help test the new flasher.
