Also instead of being able to see everything on one screen you have to scroll down to see temp, and scroll down again to be able to select the Bluetooth module. Landscape mode would also be nice.

Now how do I get the JB4 mobile to show the correct content?
What kind of phone do you have? It shows everything on one page for me.

I'm running a Dragon Touch tablet. Finally got the ECA reading on the Jb4 mobile, you have to make sure meth scale is set to 100. I have noticed your app currently shows E45 while the JB4 app shows E44. Why are they different?

This is a great little tool you have here. So I would just need to buy the continental ethanol sensor and your kit with Bluetooth for this to work? (Aside from the connections needed for the stock fuel line)

I'm non JB4 so if I read correctly, to get a readout I'd need either the digital display or your Play store app?

Correct. You'd need a stand alone display, or Bluetooth (or both!).

It probably has to do with the way JB4 rounds an analog value (JB4 is voltage in, so there's a bunch of conversion - sensor stream - to voltage out - to JB4 voltage in - to DA converter). Mine rounds up at a .5 or greater value.

The Bluetooth value is the truest value there is. On the same token, the continental sensor itself has a +/- 5% tolerance, so the variance isn't anything to be concerned over.

A couple people have asked about wiring. All future orders should feature interlocking connectors, which should make things much easier and cleaner.

For anyone with current ECA's up to yesterday, here's how you wire them:

For USB powered - the USB power supply red / black get wired to the DME power / ground. The USB cable is then plugged into the ECA and the power supply:

For new power supply models:

For the digital display:

FYI - The above pictures should say pin 15 of the DB25 connector, not the DB9 connector.

New ECA design is complete! This will feature all plug and play interlocking connectors. Now when you buy a standard ECA, it will be prewired with matching connectors for bluetooth and display upgrades.

This should make the DME box much cleaner, and eliminates any confusing wiring.

Connectors from top to bottom are 2 pin power, 4 pin main connector (sensor input along with JB4 output pin), 5 pin digital LED connector (plugs into the digital LED display harness), and 3 pin bluetooth connector.

Pictured below it is a bluetooth add-on module with matching 3 pin connector. Just plug it in and go!

Here's what a standard ECA will look like with the bluetooth add-on module connected. I'll be including a piece of heat shrink to bundle the two together:

The power supply and main sensor harness (not pictured yet) both feature matching connectors. Everything locks together, and will only plug in one way.

Let me know what you think!

Looks very nice and clean! Great for future upgrade ease.
I love the fact that you are always trying to improve the product.
Can't wait to get mine!

The new version is nice! The connectors are an excellent improvement. Will I be getting the new version when you have some ready to ship? If you will be improving it further I can wait.

Do you have any Bluetooth enabled kits ready? If not when will you? Think I'm ready to grab one for my shop car

Hi Kurt,

You'll have a new one - it should be delivered Wednesday.

Thanks,

Scott

I have all the parts for bluetooth in stock, but I do have a few to build ahead of you.

If you want to order, PM me and I'll send you the paypal address to send payment to.

Thanks!

Is there a way to install the Ethanol sensor in between the stock fuel lines?

If that's not possible, is "HPFP to Tank " the right option to buy from the fuel-it website http://www.fuel-it.biz/e-series-135i...grade-options/

I see only one line in that option, I'm not sure how to fit the Ethanol sensor in between?

That's the correct fuel it kit. You can buy the fittings and cut your stock fuel line, but it requires a special compression tool to install them. . I can provide part numbers if you'd like.

The Dorman tool would be 800-301:

And the fitting you need is for 5/16th nylon line to 3/8 steel would be 800-085:

Str8shot, you are probably the most least responsive person out there trying to sell a product online. I've tried PM'ing several times for the required firmware for the LED screen that's required.. so posting here so you actually see that i'm still waiting.

Also, I wanted to confirm the wiring with you. I think i've got it right but need confirmation:

This is the confusing part.. I have a blue wire and black wire (male)...

But the females are both black? Does it matter which goes into which?

Please confirm?

I've been out of state for work. I'll reply tomorrow (saturday).

That is not correct, I'll post a wiring diagram in the morning.
