Let us know your findings. Shop car is not alpina flashable.

I'll write a description one of these days in the Twisted tuning guide.

Does anybody know where to find a guide somewhere on how to select and deselect the various toggles in TunerPro?
For example, what values should I enter in TunerPro to DISABLE the various Nannies like "Torque Reduction By Ignition", etc.

is it okay to mix in some e85 when running BMS Pump flash, or is it designed for pure gasoline only?

So I tried to do a backend flash on my 2008 335i and forgot to turn my jb4 to map 0. Now my car won't start and I can't access the jb4 menu via steering controls. I'd appreciate any advice. I'm sorry if this is a bad section to post this in. I'm completely new to forums

You wouldn't ask your dentist to do a filling whilst you're whistling!

Mistakes happen. Start a support thread, be sure to include details about your DME version & flashing method. In general flashing back to stock would be your best move.

Just wanted to hop in here and say, flashed the Race BEF for the first time an hour ago and ran out to drive. Oh. My. God. Now I get the obsession over E85. I have no idea why I've been content with the Pump BEF for so long. I'm going to have to get some ethanol rated gas cans for my garage. Like, yesterday.

Thanks for answering the %E question earlier Martial!

Ex. Disable Tq Reduction by Ign: Enable: set to 00 Disable: set to 02.

In this case, you would want to set that value to 00 to Enable the Disable, if that makes sense.

^Hey, thanks @CLTEURO !
"Enable the disable." Sounds like an entitlement program.

Unplug the jb4 power pin, and restart the flash process.

See above. Honest question, why would flashing back to stock be better than directly flashing the needed map?

Today's official update introduces:
- Automated logging: in this mode, no button is required to start logging. Just press the pedal above 50% to start recording. The log will be stopped and saved after 3 seconds with less than 50% pedal.
- Shift light: the background of the MHD gauges gets illuminated at at user selectable RPM. Go to monitor > options to adjust the rpm.
- Flash option : Desensitize the knock tables. If checked, overrides any map with partially desensitized knock tables settings. Not recommended for general use.
- Flash option : ADV O2 sensors kit. Support for the aftermarket lamda sensors sold by Chris.

Honest answer, I thought my advice would get Jimmy's car up and running.

I stand corrected, I now see the error in my comment, and will be more mindful in the future.

Glad to hear on the KR maps! I'll test it out soon and next release of JB4 MHD maps we can delete the KR specific maps since it's a flash-time option now.

I haven't looked at that yet but will when our single turbo development car gets back. Sounds great to me though.

On the desensitized BEF, or even this new KR flash time option.. Is there a percentage that we can relate it to? or is it only an initial timing retard threshold is 0?

Gents

I still have jb4 mhd 091315 pump (93) installed. Question: Should i get the latest pump or kr map in light of what Terry posted in the JB4 BEF new features and testing post that stage 2 mhd target is high?

Many thanks!

Well, dyno your car before you flash, and then dyno it again after you flash, and then you'll know your answer! My butt dyno says I've gained >100hp.

Either set them both to the same RPM you want, or use one or the other? I don't think it's rocket science, I could be wrong.

How often does the flash fail because I'm really scared it will mess something up. If it does fail why could I do to get it back to normal? Thanks!
