Default LED Halo for pre LCI - 02-01-2017, 07:23 PM

lifelong Acura guy bought an 07 335i, looking forward to all the performance mods available and the power to be added. but 1st things 1st. i have a halo bulb out to begin with, trying to find the best LED replacement for both. LUX v6 seems to be the way to go, but was kinda hoping for a 10000k look. why wont the LCI halo LED bulbs work? they look like they have the same 2 screws to mount...but like i said i'm new to these cars. any info will help, i've been searching and will continue to so if its somewhere obvious feel free to bust my balls but maybe point me in the right direction while doing so...

Can't comment on pre-LCI vs LCI e90 bulb fitment - but ...

Before you go putting lights that are straight-up blue (10K) on - you should consider that most cities have laws about what color lights can be displayed on the front of a vehicle on public roads, and most are restricted to white and yellow. I don't like the laws personally, but I like being cop-bait even less.

I believe the housings are slightly different. Luckily for you, different LED bulbs for the pre-lci headlights actually fill up both rings evenly. A LOT of the lci's don't fill both rings evenly at all.

I got mine from Top Gear Solutions for like $99

We'll have them here next week. They are the New Lux V7. $125.00 works in 2006-2008 pre-LCI e90.

Here's another option you may be able to consider (I'm not familiar enough with the 07 335i to know if its an option ). It shows my E82 with halogen Angel Eyes swopped out for HIDs:-

PITA to set up but it looks awesome and for 5 a set I can swop out the bulbs to whatever temp I want.

The ones in the pictures are H8 4300
