In order to use this kit do I need to have the Fuelit in tank sensor or does your kit come with everything I would need?

You still need the fuel-it sensor install kit (es-1).

This is an alternative to their $129 JB4 only analyzer.

Shipped a couple more kits in all flavors (bluetooth, JB4 only, and with the gauge).

Tried out the red gauge - it looks pretty sharp. It's going to look pretty rad behind the buyers vent:

When you say, "This will display your ethanol content over pin 15 of the JB4 harness (typically used for meth flow). You can then view your ethanol content via gauge high jacking", are you talking about the JB4 displaying the meth flow in the dash? So instead of meth flow in the dash it'd be ethanol content? So this method isn't necessarily necessary? Is it possible to log the ethanol content in the JB4 interface?

To get meth and E gauges at the same time in the JB4 interface, would it be posibble to log meth on pin 15 and E via bluetooth?.. (if the JB4 app was coded to it)

i run meth with E85(a E55 Mix).how can i incorporate the both.Example I would like to either read ethanol content on fuel gauge or just use a digital gauge.Would like to know what kit is needed to do both. Not interested in bluetooth thanks.

If I buy your gauge do I still need the Eca? Does your gauge connect straight to the ethonol content sensor?

A few quick questions.

I would purchase the:

From you:
1. Basic ECA
2. Bluetooth Add-on
3. Harness Kit

Others (unless you sell these too):
1. Continental EC sensor
2. OEM fuel line + 2 quick connects and some clamps (oem style, like one of the pics you mounted)

Is the underlying data stream on the Bluetooth connection open (not-encrypted)? (When I connect with (Android)BluetoothSocket(), I can extract ECA/fuel temp etc) ? I ask because I want to use the ECA output in my own (personal) apps I write for my car/phone integration tinkering.

Thx!

Correct. Gauge highjacking is just one of the ways you can view your Ethanol content. You can also use the JB4 interface.

You would not be able to log both.

The Ethanol via bluetooth is completely stand alone from JB4 and doesn't need to plug into it.

The pin is there to connect to JB4 if you wish, but you would not be able to do that if you're running meth into JB4. The share the same input pin, and it's a limitation of JB4 at this time.

However; ethanol content is pretty static once you're filled up, so there's not much to log. You could manually annotate your file name with your E content if you wanted it recorded.

Yes - the ECA is still required. It converts the sensor signal into voltage for the gauge. The gauge would plug into the pin on the ECA normally used for JB4 input.

At this time I could sell you the ECA, harness, and bluetooth add on. I do have some basic authentication involved with bluetooth, but I would be happy to make you a one-off that would be a clear and un-encrypted data stream. It wouldn't work with my app, however.

You could flip between my app and yours using the un-encrypted bluetooth data by updating the firmware via USB. I could include both for you.

Hit my up over IM and we'll discuss it further.

Two more kits shipped out!

ECA with gauge, and an ECA for use with the P3 vent gauge.

Red looks sharp. Way better than blue IMO.

So for any of these kits to work, one has to spend 100 bucks or so on the fuel it es-1 kit first, then an additional amount on any of your kits. I'm assuming your kits do not come with the continental analyzer?

My kit is the content analyzer.

You do need a way to install the continental flex fuel sensor. The fuel-it ES-1 kit is probably the cheapest option.

What I'm making is a grass roots alternative (at a fraction of the cost) to their $129 JB4 only analyzer, which you also have to buy on top of the ES-1 kit as well.

I also have options like bluetooth and a stand alone gauge.

Either I skipped the answer or am confused.

As a Cobb/PTF user without a JB4, how the hell can I use the fuelit sensor and your bluetooth analyzer without owning a JB4? Am I missing something?

Moving into winter I would really like to know what's in the tank, since "E85" can be as low as E70 in the winter months.

Thank you much.

You would get the Bluetooth kit or the gauge kit.

They are totally stand alone and don't need to plug into jb4.

Bluetooth would display your content on an android device via my free app in the play store.

It should be there tomorrow. I sent you a refund for all the profit from this one due to the slow turn around via paypal. I just got too inundated with my regular job.

Sorry.

Have a new display I'm trying out. This will work in conjunction with JB4 and or bluetooth (the previous display used the same voltage output as JB4).

The previous display read analog voltage in .01 increments for each percent of ethanol. For example - 1 percent ethanol would read as .01 on the display, 50% ethanol would read .50, etc.

This particular display uses a digital input, to display an exact reading from the sensor. Because of this, it doesn't suffer from any inaccuracies due to voltage fluctuation.

It's a little bit larger, and a few dollars more, but should provide for much more reliable readings.

This is compatible with any of the ECA's I've sold using three of the four twisted pair wires I had added that were reserved for future use, along with a new firmware that can be loaded via USB.

Hey,

I have a BMS Meth kit installed on the car, and I believe I am using pin 15 to read the meth flow, can package A be used with jb4 using another pin?

thanks

How much for the full kit with screen and for bluetooth (not for JB4), and with the continental ethanol content sensor?
