It looks like nobody has an answer for this 2step issue. Really wish it would get fixed already, especially after multiple firmware updates and it still hasn't been.

The BEF has no effect on the 2STEP... Log the 2STEP with the back end flash and then also flash back to stock and log that, so we can compare the difference.

Reporting back. Before I ran a 2 step log I uploaded the lastest BEF. Problem solved. Whatever is different with the latest flash fixed it. Or so it seems at least. I'll keek and eye on things and report if anything changes.

I suspect the bug is unrelated to the flash and it's just a red herring. I think the timer that runs the internal 2STEP logic is getting thrown off somehow and that the fix will be within the JB4 firmware.

Anyway if you have time to help test a few things drop me an email with your 2STEP log and I'll see if we can figure anything out remotely on it. Our MT development car is still down at PURE Turbo for the last 3 months.

I did. I am currently running the latest. BEF e85.

I will get some logs this weekend. I just don't like what it does and I am afraid it will take a toll on my stockers

Terry, I have already tested this. Its nothing to do with BEF, 100% JB4 updates, on 30 and below 2 step works fine, as soon as you update the jb4 to a newer update the 2 step stops working.

I would appreciate it if you could fix this bug in the next update. I think it could be something to do with the new rolling anti lag ??

until this is fix we need to stay on jb4 update 30 or lower for step to work.

If you need me for testing you can PM me.

bumping an old thread.. I installed my 2step and anti-lag earlier this week. The anti-lag is working properly but the 2 step is having the same issue as the earlier comments. Sporadic rpm and it seems like its struggling. It's not uniform like other 2steps I've heard. Was there a fix found?

Its pathetic that 3 years later and multiple firmware updates the 2 step still doesn't work. This problem alone has me about to completely ditch the jb4. The last 3 single turbo firmware flashes have made the 2 step operate different on each fw. I'm glad you're always innovating like the shift bog fix, but at the same time i think we all can agree that we want a working auxiliary part for jb4, I want to keep all my aux parts from BMS but the universal wot box that's been around for years still works better then a product with constant evolving support. BMS has upgraded almost every add-on (pi controller, fsb, anti-lag, etc), while this fix isn't an actual hardware upgrade but a firmware issue like stated back in 2015. Id think the ball would be rolling by now considering there are multiple threads on different forums for the same issue.

Same issue in 2020. Just installed the 2 step relay without anti lag, its really sporadic with the RPMs bouncing all over. Latest Jb4 firmware, latest BMS BEF.

The bigger issue is that the NLS seems to be kicking in at 4000 RPM regardless of if I have the clutch depressed. At WOT, all engine power is being cut around 4000 rpm, its like hitting a brick wall. What gives?
