Hi Terry,

I'm thinking to go with the n54 cast PURE turbos as a replacement and wanted to get an idea if I could continue using your JB4 G5 ISO piggy on map 5 (Without the BEF) as I have with the stock turbos? Once I get time I would actually get the car tuned.

Goals: I'm fine with under 400hp on 91 pump gas, I don't think the 6AT AWD would handle more than 500hp so I would like to stay under that once tuned?

My car is a 2008 335xi 6AT with 186k miles on it. I'm getting a turbo siren/howling on my original stock turbos under low load driving. I also have had a lot of wastegate rattle since 125k miles on the clock. I have noticed a lot of oil consumption as well, always get 30FF, and often get lamba codes.

Below is my list of parts I have yet to order:
* Pure n54 cast turbos 2"
* BMS inlets 2"
* BMS vacuum side OCC
* FuelIt Stage 2 bucketless LPFP
* Turbo install kit (BMW Turbocharger Installation Kit - 11627558906KT | FCP Euro)
* Corteco Motor mounts
* Waterpump + TStat + bolts + U Hose + Bypass hose
* Oil pan gasket + bolts
* Valve cover (cover + gasket + bolts)
* All four 02 sensors
* Spark plugs (BMW ZGR6STE2)
* oil change (Walmart Castrol 5w-40 changed every 7500 miles) + Mann filter

I am not sure if my Rear Main Seal is leaking, if it is, then I might need to pull the motor and maybe do the front main seal also and install outlets?

What is already on the car:
* BMS OCC
* JB4 G5 + cable + DCI + D P fix @ 5 Oclock
* ER CP with TialQ BOV
* Full ER FMIC anodized with CF Shroud
* AR D P s

Maintenance items performed last summer (FCPEuro parts)
* New coolant reservoir + Cap + expansion tank line + upper radiator hose
* New OFHG
* New starter
* pulley/tensioner/belt kit
* new spark plugs
* new vacuum lines (All 19 feet)
* new boost solenoids
* New front brake kit and brake fluid
* 6AT pan and fluids
* transfer case fluid
* front control arm kit (6 piece)

History (around 2014):
All new index 12 injectors @ 90k miles
Carbon blast @ 90k miles
Delphi coils @ 90k miles

hi there guys I'm a new member on this forum ..

i own a built 335i running meth. around the 700 mark.
my vtt turbos went bang recently .. well the turbo oil seals went so ive just purchased the new GC stock location turbos from tony.

just need some help mapping my jb4 to suit

on the very first page on this thread .. could somone talk me through what i need to do to get this car back up and running... it previously had tonys stage 2 + turbos but i know these GC turbos produce more power. there aren't many guys i know of that can help me with mapping a jb4 in the united kingdom

Hey guys, my Pure Stage 2 go on in two weeks! I have put together a short side by side comparison video between the pure stage 2 and stock turbos. Thought some of you here might find it interesting. I will be sure to do a good driveability comparison once they are mounted.

I think its better to flash MHD . I did it when upgraded RB to RB nextgen+from Robert . Ive made custom flash from twistedtuning . He can make it for JB4 if you want .
Now on 93oct (98ron in Russiya) 100-200 less than 7 secs(without meth)

Hi Terry, sorry I'm new to jb4 my 07 E90 335i n54 FBO with rebuilt stock turbos with Td04 wheels, upgraded inlets about to get installed. Car has xHP stage 3 Transmission flash tune. Walbro 460 about to get installed also running E40 mix. I'm unsure what tune to run or even where to find the page where the tunes are downloaded from. Could you please link me to the appropriate tune file where I can download it please and a simple explanation as how to do so, I'd be very greatful.

I have an oil pan gasket that can be put off no longer. I’m going to be swapping my OEM turbos for some RB Two Plus’s while in there. Being that it is now winter in Wisconsin can I safely drive on these turbos, running the hybrid pump BEF and map 1 until I can get properly tuned when the cold and snow disappear?

Can I use the hybrid settings with a stock tmap until my 3.5 tmap comes in next week? Or will that cause issues?

With the VTT stage1 14t and housing wand FBO with inlets should they consider stock turbos or look more in the hybrid settings?

Firstly thank for the all info that you provide in this forum it helps a lot.

I have done everything written in the first post.

I get 2 logs today and posting it now i dont know i did it wrong maybe. Can you check them and tell me is there something wrong.

AT MAP 5 Everything is OK after 4gear car pass to safe map 4

AT MAP6 first time in this car i get misfire from 5 and 6 cylinder but no turn to safe map after ı delete the code everyting seems normal.

I think i am missing something about JB4 after ı installed the PI kit. If you enlight me about what i am missing i will be glad.

The car is 2012 E89 35is

hi everyone. I have just bought a 2006 335i e92. Currently have changed injectors for index 12, delphi coils, 2 step colder spark plugs . Now I started fitting hybrid turbos BIllet tdo4 17t , dual 2'' intake upgraded charge pipe with single BOV. Also I have JB4 to fit.
I live in Scotland and will use 99 ron fuel. Please tell me what kind of software I should use? Only JB4 or jb4 with BeF on only mhd st2+ will be enough?
If i will get around 450whp i will be happy. In my region is most time wet so more power can be difficult to handle for daily driving.

With pure stage 2dd turbos and only a stage 2 lpfp with no port injection running the e85 hybrid back in flash
How much boost can I run with 50%e85 ? I try to run map 7 which is about 20-22psi but it will send to map 4 most of the time. If I run it on map 2 which is about 17-19psi it will send me to map 4 very rarely.


2007 e90 335i
pure stgae 2 DD turbos, rb inlets, bms 4 bar map sensor
Jb4 with mhd hybrid e85 back end flash, vrsf down pipe vrsf 7" intercooler, vrsf charge pipe with tial bov and afe intake. Fuel it stage 2 pump and fuel line/ethanol content kit.
spec stage 2+ clutch with new oem dmfw

Anybody know what my Map 10 and 12 should be set to, I'm having overboosting issues on my new hybrid turbos and I've already changed my boost solenoids. My map 12 is set to 2000rpms is that to low?

Would need a log for any tuning advice. But usually if boost is too high then WGDC needs to be lowered. Depending on when you want it lowered determines what settings are entered to do that.

I have the old JB4 on my 08 135i I flashed a MHD map then realized that the old JB4 couldn't support it so since its been turned off set to 1,0 Basically turning off the JB4 I ordered the new JB4 G5 it will be here in a day or so. I got just the chip because I already have harness and usb installed im just swapping the module itself. Im running a MHD Stage 2 93 oct tune right now Ive paid for all the stages and fuel options. Once installed can I run my JB4 on any of the OTS tunes together or do I have to use the free BEF options available here?

Maybe this has been answered already but this thread is long and excuse my ignorance but with stage 2 hybrids can you just run pump gas, no e85, no port injection, no upgraded lpfp? My stock turbos are going and I ordered hybrids because it just didn't make sense to me to order stock, figure i may as well upgrade now, giving me more options add more power in the future. I currently run jb4 with back end flash on map 5 on my stock turbos. Also, when you say for e85, at a minimum you need to run stage 1 lpfp, does that mean in conjuction with port injection or tbi? I'm thinking about upgrading to to your stage 2 lpfp & running your meth injection with an e85 blend, port injection seems to intimidating to me. Is this a route I could go? I'm assuming it is because the wording says "for e85, no meth, port injection is required" so to me that sounds like it can be either or? Thanks.
