You misunderstood me. I have a 2011 N55 E series 6AT. I'm swapping it to manual. So far I have a 2009 transmission, pedal assembly, BMS SSK, and Spec stage 3 clutch.

Gotcha! yea my bad i thought you were saying autos were hard to find in your area. For your year check out the diff and make sure you don't need a new pumpkin (changes were made after 08 for manuals(smaller pumpkin)) may require new driveshaft length. Also 2011 is N55, so make sure your transmission has the pilot bearing shaft not the flywheel! aka check for a pilot bearing inside the input shaft of transmission. it won't have it Check this thread for details:

I'm pretty much stuck with my pumpkin, since I just bought the helical LSD prior to deciding to want to do a swap. How would now if I need a shorter or longer driveshaft? Only after install?

I would reference: http://www.realoem.com
and look up both 2009 and 2011 and see if the lengths are listed as the same or different. A lot of the time it will tell you if that part number is used in another vehicle and what years as well!

I tend disagree the car is a blast with the Auto, alpina flash and a single turbo, the only reason I'd like to go Mt is to increase the boost, 22psi gets old after a while! lol

Don't want to derail the thread but as there's talk of N55s with DCTs, thought it was worth throwing in. I've run at 26psi max without an issue. Car is currently set up to DD map 7 (20psi) and run map 6 at 25 psi when needed.
It needed a BEF with slightly lifted limit and load values to stop DCT slip but so far all is good. Will be interesting to see how these units hold up long term as more N55 guys start to push the limits.
Anytime - don't take this the wrong way but I'm hoping I don't need to come to you for advice on a swap!

I just want to say thanks for taking the time to do this very extensive put together of parts and what to do. My AT just decided it was done holding power, so this is in me near future.

No worries man, yea the AT's are good for 500+HP and 400lb/tq. Glad to hear you are wanting to switch though a lot more fun on the manual side. Shoot me a message if you have any questions. I'll get to them as fast as I can.

You're awesome man thanks. I got a hellcat kill in right before it decided to tell me I've gone to far for it to handle haha. I've missed rowing my own gears though so I'm kind of excited to go back.

I believe so, and yes you'll need a longer driveshaft for the manual trans. Some use a spacer, others have changed out the driveshaft for the manual version. Reference: realoem.com for the part numbers to make sure they match for both the 135i and the 335i. Good luck!

When I get to step #53 I can't find "FRM" in the pop up window when I hit F1.
Can any one help me? Or had the same problem?

Awesome write up. Can you post a picture of your wiring harness (top passenger side)? Did you have to move around or cut connectors, other than rearranging the pins?

Great writeup
I got few questions tho
I cant seem to figure out the clutch wiring
If i get Engine wiring harness for manual transmission module, does that mean
No extra electrical wiring needed to be done? Just plug in connectors?
And is the gas pedal swap mandatory

I have similar problem, but in my case in step #53, I have FRM in pop up window, I can select that. But when I press F3 to execute the job, I got the error as attached picture! What should I do now?!
Now, I can start the engine by holding clutch, But I have Transmission Error and I don't know how to remove it?!
