Default Log review please - 12-04-2019, 02:12 PM

Consistently getting AFR LEAN (#2) on JB4 ďlast safetyĒ. One time it was Fuel Flow (#3?).

Also have code 30FC now.

The log is probably going to look like a hot mess... it felt like a bronchiní buck between losing traction and grabbing, etc... did not feel very reassuring.

Thanks, looking forward to a diagnosis!

Hpfp looks like it’s tanking, hitting value of 6

Couple questions- Fuel? BEF?

Fuel is 93 octane w/ďup to 10% ethanol addedĒ
BEF is custom Trebila

How’s the car normal driving & cold start?

Since working with trebila what has his feedback been?

I just spoke with David/Trebila this morning. He says it’s a meth flow issue:
‘Meth issue here. Meth flow trigger, goes to 100% then quickly decreases to zero.’

Now I just have to figure out what the issue is.
I’ve never cleaned the injection nozzle so I’ll start there. Do a good prime to make sure pump is still working, etc. ??? Not sure what else.
(I keep adding fluid, so I’m not sure where it’s going if it’s not going into the charge pipe! )

P.s.
Normal driving and cold start both excellent. Put it on map 5 (to go no meth) today, seemed to run good. Had one small chance to “goose it” and it didn’t go into map 4, but I don’t know if it was enough stress to have “tripped it” from map 6.
Haven’t done any runs to adapt map 5, but it still ran pretty nice, regardless.

Thanks for checking in, I appreciate it.

Start with physically inspecting & go from there.

Keep us posted & we can try to help too.

I just don’t like stepping on a custom tuners toes

I’m thinking this is a case of Occam’s Razor...
I’d JUST filled my reservoir so I didn’t think that was it, so I hadn’t gone right back in to check it. When I started my inspection this morning I first checked the tank, empty. Turns out that the line going into the solenoid was loose, evidence of red spray on the side of the tank — I engineered a custom setup and that line sits right up against the tank so it wasn’t obvious at first, but after seeing it I realized I could turn the nut by hand.

Did a full inspection, cleaned the nozzle, checked all the lines, connections, etc.
Primed the pump out through the lines and made sure the nozzle was atomizing, etc.
I think I’m good to go!

Haven’t road tested yet because from there I cleaned my DCIs and wanted them to dry completely before oiling. Will give it a run tomorrow sometime, hopefully that’s all it was.

That was a while ago, before I got the custom tune using map 6.
All the reasons people kept telling me not to do this turned out to be unfounded, at least for this particular setup. No problems with the meth getting hot, etc. In fact, I actually temperature-checked the fluid early on after a 4 hour road trip and it wasnít even warm (I forget the temp now).

Very pleased to have my entire trunk to use as a trunk!

Car went into map 4 again this morning when I tried to test it. However, since Iíd just primed/purged, Iím hoping that was just a ďblank spotĒ between the solenoid and the nozzle (timing tried to advance but no meth yet??)

Then on my way home, in much more traffic with limited opportunities I was able to Gun it in 3rd but it downshifted to second. Felt really strong and stayed on map 6. Log attached.

Please look and see if all looks good for me, if you get the chance. I truly appreciate it!

Hereís a pic of that one. Like I said, driving that car just never gets old. Itís still fun, even with its 235 hp!

P.s.
Did you ever get a chance to review that second log I posted yesterday? Looking for your opinion on how that log looks.

Thanks!

Absolutely. You want primarily just 3rd, 2k-6k, DTS off, map 6 (custom with meth)?

It DID revert to map 4 yesterday moving around traffic on the highway; dropped the pedal (75% maybe) in 6th gear map 6, it kicked down and started to run great, then I felt it get castrated by the map 4 safety.

Morning,

I found a hidden road near the airport where I live. Straight stretch long enough for the run. And last night it was dry.

Went into safety mode map 4 almost right away.

I cant read these things (well, I donít have the knowledge to know whatís good and whatís bad) but it looks like overboost around t/s 104? Target 20, boost 21+. Į\_(ツ)_/Į

Take a look whenever youíre able to and again, thank you Dave!

Your FF is still pretty high.

You triggered safety for hitting your boost safety

Lower your FF to 70-80
