I don't know that it is normal for it to target 19 LBs and 10+ degrees of timing like it did.

Is there anyway I can go back to the old 28_02 firmware for JB4? The car ran great for about 5 years on this with map 5 and e30 to e40 before I got the great idea to update.
Run lower boost map, maybe map 1,

Map 5 it auto adjust based on your fuel and mood, so if you hitting 17 psi means you have what it needs to boost 17, if you want less aggressive map go to map 1 should be less than map 5

Can I update the JB4 only when connect to OBD and over USB cable to Software, without connecting other cables?

I am noticing a slight rattle when accelerating in the lower rpms. What is suggested as far as changes to the JB4?

Thanks!

Try lowering menu 10 a few hundred rpm.

So I flashed the DME with JB4 BEF via MHD yesterday. Everything went well, I've set the menu 4 to option 2 and running map 1 currently (Boost is hitting 15psi which is the target) . Can't say if there's any difference in the car.. even I can feel it's more sluggish or IDK.. Something to mention is I'm with OEM cats and at the end of the week dawnpipes will be installed but yesterday when I was flashing in the MHD additional options as burble and etc I didn't select that I'm using OEM cats but instead I left it unchecked which means it thinks I'm with dawnpipes. Could that be a problem, make the car sluggish or something else? I also have rattle and in order to prevent it JB4 menu 10 is set to 800, menu 11 to 3000 and menu 12 to 1600. That I think are the best settings which I could achieve cruising yesterday. Any opinions will be appreciated , thank you!

No log ? I would GUESS car is sluggish because of menu 10 being set so low.

No logs..but yeah I tried with menu 10 set to 3000 and menu 12 set to 2800: it was one idea better but.. again didn't feel any smoothness but a sluggish car. It was better than the current settings set to 800/1600 for menus 10/12 but I'm pretty sure there's something wrong. The boost target is achieved on map 1 (15psi)

Everyone would just be guessing, without a proper log.

Funny you mention trimming issue. When I updated to 32/14 my trims crashed to 0 on WOT. BTW, I had updated from 32/12/2, this firmware had given me no issues with trims or gauge sweep as 32/14 FWIW.

I'm using an N20 TMAP sensor and I'm using the option in the JB4 to support it.

If I run MAP0 (JB4 off), will the car be reporting incorrect boost values?

Thanks

Greetings broís , since iím new to this forums iím in the process of reading and learning how to make my N54 335i faster. My current mods are : Jb4 (on map 5 and 6 ) , RB turbo inlets , Rb turbo outlets , vrsf intercooler , Ar cattles ********* , Vrsf chargepip with hks blow off. For these upgrades ,i am not happy with my 1/4mile times. Since iím from south america and we dont have tuners here, iím trying to learn and upgrade my car myself. So i came on the forums with a lot of hope. Iíve attached my log on pumpgas . I hope that someokne can help me look into it and give me advice of what iím doing wrong.
My best 1/4mile time is 12.98 @108Mph 60Ft is 2.05seconds (Dragybox).

Yep, missed that.
IATs go way too high. But before they even climb, its already pulling timing. I would say fuel is an issue. Needs higher octane. Enable 6cyl to see full timing.
LOWER BOOST
I would try map 1 and go from there. Lpfp is running a little low. Avg ign value of 7 and IATs going high = low timing curve and loss of power.
Any O2 codes by chance ? Trims are also maxed a good part of the run and looks like it goes to open loop for a bit.

Map0 does the 3.5bar sensor conversion as well.

Sorry for the late reply, but for tuning help post your JB4 log and details to the N54 support forum!

Thanks for the reaction bro. You have a point about the octane of the gasoline , our octane of fuel here is lower than in the states. I will be logging again with a a higher octane race fuel ( Vp racing unleaded extreme 110octane) in mixture with pumpgas.
To mention that the previous log was made without a back end flash. Maybe that could play a role too.
The car does not throw any O2 codes bro,not yet until now.

I will test with higher octane fuel and post the log then.
Appreciate all sort of advice
