Default Inlet manifold options ? - 01-06-2016, 01:15 PM

I still very new to N54's and currently still getting my head around all of backend flash / JB4 and other tuning options.

I know its the inlet manifold and direct port injectors that cause the problems for stand alone management, maybe i missing something but why don't people leave the DPI in head and use a sandwich plate with a fuel rail "old style injectors" or design a inlet manifold with built in injectors in?

i know most people use JB4 and don't get me wrong i will be too, maybe I'm thinking this way because I'm putting a N54 into a 118D shell (now a 1M rep for competition drifting) and worrying about all sensors and canbus that could cause problems but if i ran stand alone i wouldnt need to worry about that and be fully tuneable

the manifold above is what i have and it is awesome. i did a custom fuel return for it on mine. people do use the port injection as a secondary to run e85. as far as a standalone you can still run one on a direct injected car, just these stand alones are not cheap
