As an alternative, can an M5 run a combination of 3-4 gallons of E85 with the balance of the tank 93?

Seriously No it wouldn't! Toluene is as chemically compatible with our fuel systems as ethanol.
There have been many threads in the past about its use as a fuel or Octane booster...usually cost is the restrictive factor not compatibility?
