Ok thank you George!! my DSG DQ250 6 speed: could the clutches slip? does not have tune.

Then there would be no risk of excess or heat or breakage in IS38 with map 3, right? any recommendations for map 6?

THANKS A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just out of curiosity, bit how does the pedal tuner help with throttle response?

The factory programs a delay from when you have pedal input to when the ECU reacts. The pedal tuner alters this delay making the engine more responsive to pedal input.

Ah ok, I thought it just intercepted the signal from the pedal to change around the pedal curve

In practice this is what it does. It ramps up voltage pushing altering the throttle position table on the ECU side.

The B9 A4 has a digital pedal sender and we dont have a Pedal tuner compatible to it unfortunately.

Hi george, after some not very strong accelerations, these faults appeared, which I read with the VAGCOM:

15015 - Turbocharger Bypass Valve Control Circuit
P0033 00 [032] - Malfunction / Open Circuit

26279 - Manifold / Barometric Pressure Sensor (G71) / (F96)
P0106 00 [032] - Implausible Signal

Could it have been when I connected the JB4 wiring harness?

Thanks in advance! is greatest JB4, very happy

Hi, the fault relates to the diverter valve which we do not attach to so most likely the cause o the problem. See what it does in map 0.

Ok Ok so I try map 0 and read with vagcom if it comes back?

It is rare that the diverter has been damaged in just a couple of accelerations, really? Is it weird that the diverter has been damaged in just a couple of accelerations? it would not be normal. The JB4 cheats the diverter?

Cleared with VAGCOM and not return errors. In some days re-check

Its a electrical malfunction so its not the actual DV that has failed but the wiring to it by the looks of things or possibly a contact issue at the plug.

Ok George,
Thank you for always being there giving support, I am making you very good publicity of JB4 in Argentina. After-sales is where everyone fails. This communication channel is important when deciding which brand to buy.
Greetings

Default 2017+ S3 8v2 Intermittent Starter Issue - 10-12-2021, 06:17 AM

Hi George

I installed the jb4 in my Audi s3, I noticed after the install my car won't start sometimes with the first turn. Note I don't have the keyless option and have to physically turn the ignition. I noticed this happens intermittently and seems to only has happened on maps 3/4/6 & 8. It will just hang like there is no petrol, not the same noise you hear when the battery is flat. I switched into Map 0 this morning and I am waiting to see if it happens again.

Have you ever come across this fault before? If yes why and what is the solution?

Warm Regards,

It might happen if the fuel open loop is set to high. Check if its 45 which is what is recommended for the facelift S3.

Hi George

Thanks for the prompt response, I set it on 55 as recommended somewhere in this forum. I will change it to 45 now. However, if I am running map 3/4/8 does this still use the fuel loop I set on Map 6?

Only the map 6 boost chart is for map 6. The rest of the settings are global and work in all the maps.

George, do you have a custom map to Audi S3 8v, with DP, inlet, turbo muffler delete, KyN panel, spark plug cold RS3 (now gap .24 correct?)
I read this a few more pages back:
1500 14
2000 16
2500 17
3000 17
3500 17
4000 17
4500 17
5000 16
5500 15
6000 15
6500 15
7000 15

It´s correct?
thanks in advance

George, is it possible to use MAP8 of JB4 as a way to consume less gasoline? for example in heavy or stuck traffic?

Thanks!

Typically it wont make a difference. If you getting on boost you want more torque so map 1 will give best consumption as it needs less pedal input.

Yes, from all the ready maps this is the strongest. Peak boost is 25 tapering to 20psi.
