This is a more specific thread for any questions or comments about our stage 3 turbo kit for the B58 BMW modular engine.

What's included:

- Turbo Manifold
- Turbocharger (Master Power 5959)
- Stainless steel in-house TIG welded d0wnp1pe
- Aluminum 4" intake pipe
- Aluminum 2.5" charge pipe
- Stainless steel braided aviation grade oil feed line
- Engine block oil feed aluminum coupler
- Billet aluminum oil return hose coupler
- Silicone couplers
- v-band clamp
- Hose clamps
- Turbo coolant banjo style fittings
- Turbo coolant hoses and clamps.
- EWG Bracket
- BMW OEM Manifold Gasket.

Dyno details: DynoJet 224 on WinPep 7
Car details: 300 miles M240i
Performance mods: BBT stage 3 turbo, BMS Intake, JB4.
Fuel: Sunoco GT260 Plus
Boost: ramp up to 25 psi drop to 19 psi

Installation time: 4-5 hours

Additional mods needed:
Meth or Throttle Body Injection (TBI)

Kit looks great.

I take it that it requires a custom map6?

Just curious about how you have tuned for that much power, as when I try and turn up the boost my timing drops off and in effect feels slower. That’s when I change the boost additive with map 7

We run Map7 with 40 additive

I probably just don’t understand the basics.

So with a 40 additive. Do the ECU or wastegate open the same amount but because of the bigger turbo it flows more air?

As you have more air volume you can produce a more powerful explosion, the DME will open and close the wastegate depending on boost target.

This is with a Stage 3.3 turbo kit, 566 whp on beta TBI

Car: M240i
Mods: Jb4, BMS intake, BBT Stage 3 turbo, TBI beta, BBT Chargepipe.
Boost setting: Map 7, boost add 45.
Fuel: Sunoco GT260 Plus, no meth at all
