B46 Ewg and Fuel connector question and install ??? -

Hello everyone,
I want to order the EWG harness connector for my 230i xDrive with B46 (B48) engine.
First question is there a visual guide for the EWG connector harness installation ? Also just to confirm I would need to order the : “JB4 F-Series EWG addon connector BMW B48/B58” ?
Also do I need to order the : “JB4 Fuel Pressure connector B48/B58 small style” ? E85 is not readily available in my area so unless it’s required by the EWG connector I don’t think I would require it.

The EWG connector will connect to the actuator on the turbo itself. That's the correct one in your description. No need for fuel wires, that's fine.

Do I need to get a Special firmware to go with the EWG connector (since the N55 gets a special firmware).

And regarding the install, I was more talking on the connector side of things and not on the EWF itsef (since it easily reachable on the B48 engine).

It's pretty easy, just open Jb4 case and remove harness from board. No special firmware needed.
Insert the pins in the locations on the Db25.
The purple wire (going to the male pin on the wastegate harness) connects to position #9 on the DB25 connector.
The blue wire (going to the female pin on the wastegate harness) connects to position #16 on the DB25 connector.

Can't wait to try out the pedal tuner and install this EWG connector to see if we can fine tune this baby a little more.

EWG Wires installed. Not too bad after all ! Will be trying map 3 and map 6 over the weekend to see if anything better will come out !
