JB4 Map Guide:

Map0: Fully disable JB4
Map1: +3.5psi peak over stock, default map, suitable for all fuels.
Map2: +3.5psi peak, less top end taper, more aggressive version of map1.
Map3: +4psi peak, suggested for 93 octane or up to 30% E85 mixtures.
Map4: +6psi peak, suggested for 30% E85 mixtures and/or unleaded race fuel
Map5: +7psi peak, suggested for 30% E85 mixtures and/or unleaded race fuel
Map6: User adjustable by RPM map on user adjustment page, values are peak boost over stock by RPM under heavy throttle.

How to update firmware:

For firmware updates we suggest you turn off WiFi, change upload timeout to 25, and set your phone next to JB4 box under the hood.

Hit the dyno today for some tuning fun on a 2019 Ranger, ~93 octane fuel. Baseline was 267whp / 306wtq which was about what I expected given the larger heavier tires on it.

Stepped up through the various map profiles all the way up through map5 which peaked at around 319whp / 372wtq. Boost, timing, and air/fuel looked solid through the runs with minimal knock count observed. Overall, all good stuff!

Up next will be some dragy 1/4 mile and 0-60mph testing!

Map2 IIRC, have a RWD customer who recently posted a 5.7s running map3 with 30% E85.

I am reading that the SPD/aFe catted DP require a tune. Do one of the maps, for the Ranger manage the back pressure reduction? Should I not get a DP? Is one better than the other? Any guidance is appreciated.

I have not tested a DP on the Ranger.. If you get one record a JB4 log and we'll help you adjust for it if needed.
